Relatively comfortable towards the end with both teams looking poor defensively. Great to see two of our youth products get the goals, especially Matthews. We utterly dominated the centre of the park. Jordan Thomson added a lot going forward. Overall a good result for us. Great to see the players and fans having a laugh at the end.

Also, that number 6 for Ayr was utterly rancid.

We badly need the 3/4 starting players in by next weekend. As expected Murphy doesn't have the legs for this level while Donald was barely good enough for league one. On the plus side Forrest was decent enough, as was Cairney at times. We were also better second half as Raith were miles in front in the first.

Over to you McCall as that team isn't remotely good enough.

Edited to add that Raith were very good going forward at times but not the best in defence. That M'Voto was dreadful.

Agree with this post. We always knew we would struggle without some quality additions but Raith although good on the counter attack were pretty average tbh.

Jesus Christ that was putrid. Miles off the pace and we'll beaten by a quicker, stronger team.

Cairney needs to play deeper and we are hugely missing a creative spark going forward. Even Paddy Boyle was rubbish and that's not like him.

Cracks, paper, etc. Gaffer wants but can't get. We are small fry in this division. But it is not all doom and gloom. Seaside leagues anyone? No thanks, not for me. 10th place - expected. 9th place - a bonus. 8th place - a fantastic season. No team should get beaten by us this season, we couldn't win the 1st, we are part time and have just come up

Thought 1st half we were good could of easily been 4-0 up at half time ! 2nd half we were poor up Untill we made some changes. Ayr should of scored with Forrest clear thought. Was two impressed with out defending benny was solid but Thomson and m'voto need to improve both clearly holding players in set plays that will lose us penalties. M'voto did not impress me at all bates looked more solid.

Boom.

Good solid start from the boys!

Will be interesting to see how our defence handles a slightly more competent attack.

Still great to get 3 points chalked up in the board from an away game.

Ayr did ok defensively, but struggled to pass the ball at all, Crawford had one of his bad games and I would have subbed him for Wardrope early on, Adams was poor as well. We came back in to it a bit when McGuffie came on and we went with two up front but never got any breaks of the ball or decisions from the ref all game.

Raith looked dreadful at the back, 3 out of the back 4 look like total bomb scares on the few occasions we got in about them, their midfield dominated the game though, we never had time on the ball and cut out most of Ayrs passes.

Forrest did well, as did McGuffie when he came on, Cairney was ok as well. Donald, Boyle, Crawford and Adams, not so much
