RandomGuy.
Abject mediocrity. ...450 games, mostly at the highest level in England...and...21 international caps. Not my idea of abject mediocrity. In relative terms, being a mid-table jobber, and eventual Championship regular, is far below the level Burke should really be aiming for. Also I heard Steven Fletcher bought an iPhone recently. Coincidence they get hit by a huge fine not long after???!!!

Yeh this is what I was getting at. Jenas had a similar decision to make at that age and claims that he took the right path, even though his mentality at the time was to stay as close to home as possible and led him to win pretty much nothing. Burke clearly is looking for more from his career than that and the idea of him looking at Jenas' career for inspiration is pretty much laughable
conley
Any individual who plays 21 times for England is not a jobber. I think Jenas's career was blighted with injury and because of that he didnt quite reach the heights which were at one time expected of him. He may well be correct in stating Burke has perhaps made the wrong move. It goes without saying that I hope to hell Burke turns out to be the best player in Germany. However, the step up is huge. Burkes pace will be negated by defenders who will be as quick as him.Leipzig have purchased potential. I hope to hell they can help the boy to fulfil that potential. I will be very surprised if he is a nailed on starter for a couple of seasons. Cmon Scotland.

RandomGuy.
Being reported that a further £4m is due after he plays 100 games, meaning the total fee would become £17m

The Grass Is Greener.
I was quite impressed with him tonight, hes obviously very raw but he at least tried to make stuff happen. Not bad for his first start and he would have been nervous. Few more caps and once he properly settled in we'll see what hes really like.
Jamaldo
At least he was capped. Unlikely as it was, England can't pinch him now. -

I thought he looked close to tears during the anthems, was thinking nerves might've got him completely. Thankfully they never.

Bully Wee Villa
I expect he'll play, even if he's only sub in his first match.Incidentally, it's at half five on Saturday and live on BT. Easy one against Dortmund!Bad news... I don't have BT. ????
Enigma
I thought he looked close to tears during the anthems, was thinking nerves might've got him completely. Thankfully they never. Only spotting him and Hanley not singing the anthem. 9/11 is not bad at all for a Scotland line up.
conley
Middlesbrough did. How much did Grant Hanley move for to sit,so far, on a Newcastle bench?

Aufc
Burke is obviously very raw. However, the tartan army are desperate for him to be class. If Chris Martin ran the ball out the park like Burke did on a number of occasions then he would get slaughtered.

Yeh I wouldn't be surprised to see forrest start the next game, assuming he keeps up his current form. Burke has a lot of potential but has a lot to learn
