OK  where to start with this game. Nightmare first 20 minutes,  after that,  a few scares,  overall could have ended 5 or 6 or more.

Without Chris our normal goalie,  everyone seemed spooked right from the start, Gala totally took advantage and worthy of two goal lead within first 20 minutes.  We steadied the ship, but at  2-0 , our young back up  goalie made a brilliant stop to prevent a 3-0 score.  Tough to come back from that.

Totally changed the game, 3 rapid goals from Fergie got us in at HT in the lead. Second half total procession and no idea how we managed only 1 goal  by Flanny right at the end.

Another great shift by Keir up front, just can't take chances.  So need a penalty box striker,  believe one on their way.

Would have thought your manager being such an amazing coach could teach your front players how to finish. But then why bother when writing a cheque is easier.

EK are absolutely taking the piss now. Cant believe im saying this but the Lowland League needs some form of FFP. Siging a player that has played in European competitions this season is a farce

Thrown out last club for failed drug test

Presume it can only be ex Edinburgh City player John Robertson who was recently axed by Linfield.

It is !

Cant believe the jealousy on here in thinking there might be a large cash incentive to sign for EK rather than another SPFL team.
Would he not be mad to miss the opportunity to learn under the undoubted coaching brilliance of Kennedy and Ferry.

Often hear phrase "need to be braver" describing a teams performance.  Today was the opposite. On the ball we still kept playing from the back, with much better balance with channel  balls. Once again big Keir led the line so well , gets us up the park and doesn't give defenders a minutes peace. Worth his weight in gold. A few goals wouldn't go amiss though. Both goals top drawer and in truth should have scored a couple more.

That said , off the ball we were excellent.  Man for man, high press for 90 minutes , against a team with the quality and speed of transition they have was as brave as it gets. The tactics worked so we'll at times Celtic really didn't have anything to offer other than the long ball. Yes they did get in behind a few times,  but we defended well.

Last word on my  Man of the Match, Joao Balde was exceptional,  totally bossed the game, scored a great goal, pressed, harried, excellent close control,  tackled as if his life depended on it. A privilege to watch.

Is this tweet correct? I thought that B Teams were limited to U20s, with an U21 goalkeeper and one U21 outfielder.

Seems to be

I thought they scrapped the over-aged outfielder from the original proposal. Must have been added this season as part of any other changes. Of course the rules for the guest teams aren't available online.

They are allowed to play one outfield overage as long as he is over 32. They are looking to increase that quota next season. The LL clubs are bending over and taking it up the Ronson Lighter.

Sorry but this is getting boring, trying to make a SPFL side in budget, players , wages etc sound interesting in beating a bunch of 20 year olds and other LL teams.
Just shut up, win your games, fill the envelopes and feck off.

Merry Xmas !

Merry Christmas

Sorry should have mentioned McCarthy with 43 games for Ireland on top of a top professional career, Vata being touted as a big money move and the lad Frame featuring in your actual, factual CHAMPIONS LEAGUE midweek.  Maybe not quite simply an under 20s team.

What’s your managers view on the B teams, he’s been very vocal in his condemnation in the past, and will this influence the club’s vote.

He is dead against it. Has never shyed away from being vocal about that. Whether he can change the mind of the guys running club is a different story though. Hopefully he can bring them round to his way of thinking. Doubt it though.

Lovely wee bit of arrogance there from a supporter of a club who are only where you are due to wealthy backers, otherwise you and the 100 or so other fans would be nowhere near this level.
