Carnoustie Young Guvnor
Wow, what an opportunity for Atleti, Real losing 2-1 at home to Levante, (well not sure they're playing actually at home yet) in the last ten minutes after playing most of the game with ten men. Hopefully JDMP gets to see them lift the title if they manage to do it. Never get a better chance than this.
Sherrif John Bunnell
That's some result for Levante. I do like how they have a 'King of the Match brought to you by Budweiser' award instead of the bog-standard MotM award.
Carnoustie Young Guvnor
Finished 2-1. Atleti now go to Cadiz tomorrow with the chance to go 10 points clear with a game in hand, currently 7 clear with 2 games.

Levante have actually got quite a decent record against Real over the last couple of years so wasn't a huge surprise today. Couple of lovely goals as well. Tomorrow is a massive game for Atleti and a pretty tough one you would think. Cadiz have already beaten Barca and Real this season. Atleti have a few issues as well with Trippier still out and Carrasco and Hermoso testing positive. Those three are vital to the 352 so half expect Simeone to go back to 442.

Aye was surprised to see Levante 9th I think and Cadiz 12th both doing better than you'd expect. Saw the second goal class finish. I think Barca must be able to overtake Real now if they win tomorrow, Real are just imploding now. Read an article from Balague the tosser who said Real planning for the end of the Zidane era, he's just not a Real Madrid manager. His teams are stodgy pish, ironic from such a great player. A lot of their top players getting old at the same time too. Big rebuild for somebody, you've got to imagine Zidane would be doing well to finish the season at this rate.
senorsoupe
Now that Atleti have solved the goal scoring issue they had last year they are absolutely brilliant. Surely their title to lose at this point

Carnoustie Young Guvnor
Cracker from Suarez. Would be ironic if Barca punted him in the summer for him to then pick up a league winner's medal.

Either Barca or Real were in every final between them since 2009 and they will still win the Copa Del Rey more than other sides but last year produced a Basque derby final (still to be played) and will see other teams get to finals and occasionally win it is much better for the competition. That rule will be getting changed back in a few years if the diddy clubs keep reaching the final. Sherrif John Bunnell
Barcelona currently being pumped by Granada in the Copa del Rey. JMDP
Interesting weekend at the top with Real and Barca getting late goals to claw back a couple of points on Atleti, who conceded an 89th minute equaliser. Could be a big moment in the season for Atleti. 8 points clear with a game in hand but no clean sheet in four and a COVID outbreak in the club. Last night they were without Felix, Hermoso, Lemar, Dembele, Herrera with COVID and Carrasco was only fit for the bench after his own recovery from it. Add the suspension of Trippier into the mix and it was a very patched up side. One positive was another two goals from Suarez who now has 16 goals from 20 shots in 17 La Liga games. Incredible business.
JMDP
Top 4 all win. Barca 7 on the trot and Sevilla on fantastic run. Incredible win for Atleti given the fitness of the squad and injuries. Marcos Llorentre already got La Liga player of the year sewn up as well surely.

JMDP
Really tightening up at the top now. Sevilla probably looking the best team in the league the last few weeks. Atleti could really do with getting everyone fit again and Trippier back. Yesterday just one of those days for them, stonewaller denied, levante keeper playing a blinder, hitting the post and a deflected goal. Have to love Morales at Levante though (and Levante in general) - one of the best, most entertaining players in the league. Real have a loads of injuries now so should only get stronger.
peasy23
Benzema equalised with a couple of minutes left today with the Madrid Derby ending 1-1. With Barca winning yesterday it leaves Atletico top on 59 points, Barca second on 56 and Real third on 54. Atletico have a game in hand over the other two.Off the pitch Joan Laporta has won the Barca presidential election.
