It's the language that the nutcase bigots and extremists want to hear......'annexation'.

Has a good old 2nd world war ring to it. It indicates that these damn foreigners are the enemy and that the only free-living country in the world....the UK.....will fight them on the beaches to preserve what is rightfully ours.

It's disgusting.

Some Labour MP bint on Sky News willing to sacrafice NI for full EU withdrawal. Labour emoji23.png

I'm going to guess it's Kate Hoey again?

The tunnel vision of some people regarding Northern Ireland and the GFA really does expose just how much those who claim to be speaking up for Britain and the British people are using those terms as a synonym for England and English.

Of course we always knew that attitude existed in places, but this really does expose just how far into English nationalism the discourse of the Westminster mainstream has descended.

BBC HYS in uproar right now. It seems we're growing some backbone and fighting Europe together as a great nation. Churchill imagery all over the place.

"you cannot negotiate with a tiger when the tiger feels nothing but pity for you"

Edit: Alternatively, "you cannot negotiate with a tiger when your head is up your own arse"

EU - Do you want to be part of a customs union?

UK government - No.

EU - OK, then do you accept that there needs to be a hard border in Ireland?

UK government - No

EU - OK, so how do we resolve this?

UK government - No

EU - sorry, but "no" is not an answer to that question.

UK government - No

I am sure the man from Del Monte would have this all sorted in no time.

Kate from Co. Antrim?

Can you imagine a Scottish politician sacrificing their home country in a similar fashion.

Actually, don't answer that....
