Benjamin_Nevis
Where does this leave your typical Pensioner Brexiteers? Sick of these auld dicks who have had their lives saying Daily Mail catchphrases on repeat but they're the most likely to need the NHS. It would be outstanding to see them get an healthcare bill just as they need the NHS most. Sadly I won't be far behind them. This'll be my old man. A staunch Tory who voted leave because of immigrants. He's constantly seething about the SNP and the NHS despite having had several months of free potentially lifesaving treatment. Looking forward to his monumental seethe when having to pay for future treatment tbh.

Benjamin_Nevis
Is your old man from Accrington, or somewhere nearby? No [emoji23]Dundee. He used to be a socialist which is pretty wild, then for whatever reason became a fan of fat racist Richard Littlejohn and the Daily Mail. Bizarre.

You know what they say - the bigger the ego, the smaller the dick.
ICTJohnboy
Looks like Blackford and Johnson have agreed to compromise on the date and there will be vote tonight for the GE to take place on December11th. Could be a boisterous and bloody campaign - let battle commence!

tintax
An election in December is very much on. Can't wait for Scotland to return 50 plus SNP MP's

I think it's going to be a lot more difficult than is being suggested. I can see the Libs doing well.

Can't wait for Scotland to return 50 plus SNP MP's I certainly hope that's the case but with a manifesto heavy on independence (which it will be) 50+ is by no means a certainty. I see people predicting 50+ all over the place, which is fair enough as there's polling evidence to back it up, but it does concern me slightly that peoples ambitions are slightly high. I mean this 50+ cut off that we've seem to set ourselves is kind of a made up target, where in reality a majority of Scottish seats would mean 'victory' for us. I absolutely understand the political capital we need from a landslide victory but again I worry that we're playing into unionists hands with setting targets that an electoral 'victory' doesn't call for. They would have ended up looking really stupid if they hadn't agreed to back a December poll. So...... Who's going to win? My hope is for the SNP to clean up in Scotland, and the Lib Dems and Brexit Party to take enough Tory seats to let Labour sneak a win. My only worry is that Brexit and the Govt will form some kind of electoral pact.

DrewDon
Looking forward to the Scotch Labour lot who were giving grief to the SNP yesterday about being "Tartan Tories" for supporting an election on "Boris Johnson's terms" suddenly performing a u-turn en masse. Paul Sweeney will be absolutely furious, I'm sure.

I might just have a small wager on Labour at 18/1 to take it with a majority. I really think (and hope) that Boris will make a complete arse of the Tory campaign.
