Brexit slowly becoming a Farce.

Special sitting of Parliament a week Saturday, supposedly to consider Johnson's proposal.
The proposal that no one has yet seen.
The opposition need to get their alternative sorted out though as well - I think the only way to avoid will be a government of national unity - I just don't think it could be one led by Corbyn. Just cannot see the Lib Dems, TIG, or independent Tories gong along with a Corbyn led interim government.

That might not be fair but it is political reality.

The majority of Labour MPs will not support one led by anyone else.

LibDems and TIGs are a small tail who think they have the right to wag the dog.

Numbers are so tight that they matter though - it's why the DUP have been so instrumental in propping up the Tories.

It was suggested that Labour MPs could support one of their own senior backbenchers such as Margaret Beckett.

I genuinely think we are heading for No Deal by default despite the Benn Law - I have a nagging feeling that the Boris the Liar has some new wheeze to avoid it.

I'm also at that point of f**k them - No Deal will mean IndyRef2 has to be pushed.

I wonder where they got that idea from...

Damien Green claiming that Johnson has given him a categorical assurance that ‘No Deal’ will not be the Tory’s manifesto position at the forthcoming GE.

No 10 refusing to confirm this.

Damian Green isn't the sharpest tool in the box. Boris has probably told him it won't be the preferred option in the manifesto. Or it won't be the manifesto position - because the country will have already left with no deal on 31st Oct.

Go back and read again. His point was daft. It was that terrorists will somehow get busier smuggling - apparently because there would be some new tariff paperwork posts somewhere 10 miles from the border. As if terrorists do things in a compliant law-abiding manner 😂

(It’s good that you stick up for your online mate though).

Jesus christ.

What’s your point? That big food processing businesses would like minimum paperwork and checks? Shockeroony. They also would like no taxes and no labour protection laws. They can’t have it.

Try asking the workers that manned Grimsby’s 400 trawlers (now 5) how good the EU has been for them.

Ahhh. Baxter,Baxter,Baxter - Laddie. Go and read the article again, before coming back at me with yet another tantrum. And - this is the important bit - read it with a questioning mind, like grown ups do. Always consider - sometimes people and organisations are objective and astute and tell the truth. But sometimes they have an axe to grind. For instance, the Youngs Seafoods and their owners that you are so eager to believe because they back up your Brexit pant-wetting - well, according to the Socialist Party, they also don't think they can afford to pay the Living Wage. You buy that too?

The so called ‘negotiations’ have been a farce for a long time and only the EU have been honest about their position.

To breach their red lines on the CU would be the beginning of the project unravelling and they were never going to allow that.

The pain of No Deal will be felt in the EU27 but they will take the pain to protect their integrity.

This was the position when negotiations started after Article 50 was invoked and it was never going to change.

There are many U.K. politicians who recognise this but others who still appear to be oblivious to it.

Bit disappointed this was reported in The Grauniad but with a bit of luck it'll make it to the Mail for major "gammon" outrage...

Strong and sustained polling confirm that Remain would win in a further Referendum.

Biggest group to change their minds are under 50 Labour voters but the demographic changes alone would swing things.
