What will they say when they see the cost of a fish supper dramatically rise?

I heard that we get most of our fish for fish and chips from Norway. I don't know if they're covered by the deal.

This information was provided by someone who worked at an aquarium in Norway to Jane Mcdonald on the program "cruising with Jane McDonald". Not sure how reliable that is.

What are the Daily Mail, Express and Sun et al going to put on their front pages now? after 30 odd years of anti-EU invective....back to mindless celebrity news or how wonderful the royal family is I suppose, as well as how dreadful Starmer is.

Scots and Scotland, I'd imagine.

From Anstruther Fish Bar's website...

We take pride in purchasing all our haddock personally from the quayside markets ensuring only prime quality haddock for your fish supper. The fish is carefully hand-filleted at our sister company, Argofish (est. 1980) in nearby St Monans before being delivered to the Fish Bar in time for opening.

Probably from boats, Scottish or otherwise, fishing in Norwegian or Icelandic waters. I've no idea what leaving the EU does to those rights.

Not convinced that this supply chain will be replicated for the likes of the Walsall branch of Brewer's Fayre.

Found an article that suggests we supply most of our own Haddock but China and Iceland , with Norway in third supply more of our Cod than we do. Cod is inexplicably more popular across the UK.

In conclusion, the Norwegian aquarium lady is a liar.

As far as I know, the potatoes are from Spain.

Another wee heads up,buying items from EBay will be dearer if bought from E.U. Countries.

Add 20% VAT.

VAT will be charged at 20% until April 1st 2022.

Just found out that Post Office costs will be charge on average £12.00.

So, next to no 'benefit' from the 'deal' who would have thunk it?

Hopefully there will be effective alternative media sources that get the reality of what's happening through to the plebs in the years ahead rather than the usual tabloid drivel. Too bad this Australian youtube channel doesn't do Scottish/British politics:

Silly.

The relationship between Scotland and Europe - especially France - was changed by the Reformation.

You will probably prove me wrong but not even you can be daft enough to deny this.

You do realise that Scotland’s refusal to follow England’s lead - pressed for by Anglophile BritNat Charles I - led to a war which killed a higher proportion of the population than did the First World War. But aye, everything was hunky dory in the racist, Europhobic, BritNat reading of history, in which Scotland turned its back on the Frogs during the Reformation and began a smooth march towards political subservience.
