This is a particular highlight (69 per cent of voters in Stoke voted Leave)

Stoke chairman Coates said he wants the best for the Championship club but that "it's hard to seed how a botched Brexit will help".

"The negative consequences are plain for all to see," he added.

"If this goes badly, it will be places like Stoke that suffer the most."

Someone writing for the Telegraph called Ambrose Evans-Pritchard says that the weak Pound is splendid for exports.
He's delighted to be setting Britain back years so his Tory buddies can make a few extra bob hawking their cheap gee-gaws.

Ambrose Evans-Pritchard sounds like a name you'd hear belonging to a sand dancing winger in a match between Luton and Burton Albion or something.

It would be pretty funny if the best league in the world has about half of its players pulled in the last few weeks of the season because they don’t have work permits.

I think Coates may be more worried about his gambling operations in Gibraltar than the football club.

Eboue Kouassi has a work permit which makes me think anyone with two legs can get one.

And how did he get one? I presume he applied and was given the OK. Has the infrastructure been put in place for the EU stars to get one before April - they don't need one now but will then if there isn't a deal.

The Home Office will give them whatever they need.

They're rich and this is the UK. They'll be fine.

I'm sure you're right. Extending the point to the plebs, though, what do you think they'll do with all the others if we fall off the cliff? They won't be eligible to work in this country. The EU is their work permit. A unilateral amnesty of some sort? Has anyone in charge even thought this through?
