When a legitimate allegation is made against one of their 'team', the main focus is on denying it and doing everything to avoid investigating it at all costs, even if that means slandering potential victims and trying to destroy their lives. They've obviously anticipated a similar reaction from an innocent person so will be shocked that they'll instantly refer it for investigation and the whole scheme will be exposed.
