Hope a spectacular meltdown from him happens first. That will make things even sweeter imo.

I can't see that happening. The thing about Trump that most endears him to people is that he takes the rough with the smooth without becoming overly emotive - said no-one ever.

I read somewhere that in Washington DC, unlike Florida, there’s a built in ‘restriction’ that will stop him from making outrageous statements about the prosecutor and others once he’s charged.  Ignoring that restriction could lead to contempt proceedings.

I hope he ignores the restriction.

I’m assuming Giuliani is one of the six unnamed co-conspirators.  Sidney Powell another?

ETA a John Eastman another?

There are 4 lawyers, 1 Justice Department official and 1 political consultant in the 6 unnamed.

John Eastman is confirmed by his lawyer to be #2.

From NBC News:

”While the co-conspirators are not named in the indictment, some details are provided on their background and role in the alleged effort to overturn the 2020 election results.

According to the indictment, the six co-conspirators consisted four attorneys, one Justice Department official, and a political consultant.

"Co-Conspirator 1," is described as an attorney "who was willing to spread knowingly false claims and pursue strategies" that Trump's 2020 campaign attorneys would not pursue.

"Co-Conspirator 2," is described as an attorney who "devised" and tried to implement a strategy to leverage then-Vice President Mike Pence's largely ceremonial role in overseeing the the certification of Joe Biden's electoral victory on Jan. 6 to "obstruct the certification of the presidential election."

"Co-Conspirator 3," is described as an attorney whose election fraud claims Trump privately acknowledged to others sounded “crazy," but that Trump "embraced and publicly amplified" nonetheless.

"Co-Conspirator 4," is a Justice Department official who worked on civil matters, according to the indictment, and joined Trump in attempting to use the agency to "open sham election crime investigations and influence state legislatures with knowingly false claims of election fraud."

"Co-Conspirator 5," is described as an attorney who helped devise and attempt to implement a plan to submit fraudulent slates of presidential electors

"Co-Conspirator 6," is described as a political consultant who played a role in implementing a plan to submit false slates of presidential electors.”

Evan Corcoran and Christina Bobb being suggested as Trump attorneys 1 and 3 by MSNBC.

ETA - CNN suggesting neither Corcoran or Bobb but confirming Powell.

Reading through the entire indictment it's unbelievable how often they quote his use of Twitter to repeat allegations which were without any basis in fact. It's also clear that in doing so, he named a number of innocent people and called them cowards, liars, incompetents etc resulting in them receiving numerous death threats. He's a c**t of the highest order and if found guilty should be put away for a long time to come.

Whatever the rights and wrongs of the Clinton emails or Biden stuff in Ukraine, the attempts to secure fraudulent re-election are of a completely different magnitude and pose a risk to the entirety of the US constitution. Seems that there were enough right-minded Republicans in the targeted states to see him off.

Alternatively, Trump might be right and the indictment may be without foundation. Time will tell.

Co conspirator 1 is Giuliani. Para 43 states that #1 orchestrated an event at a hotel in Gettysburg on 25 November. Quick search confirms RG.

Ignore this if you're having fun identifying them yourself..

Spoiler

Hopefully No. 6 is someone like Steve Bannon or Stephen Miller.

Any chance of that lunatic lawyer being involved? The one who was so deranged that even the Trump team quickly backed away from her. What was her name?

Whoa, searching for "trump lunatic lawyer" brought up a whole host of possibilities. It's Sidney Powell, as GD mentioned. I get the impression Trump was calling up the few decent lawyers who'd still speak to him and they were deliberately pointing him in the direction of absolute moon-howlers out of spite.

She's #3 according to the link WB posted. She's an absolute superstar arsehole.

He should get an award for managing to hold an event in a hotel rather than a ramshackle industrial estate.

Given the American President was gunned down in Dallas 1963..... and given ALL the shootings in America..EVERY DAY...dont you find it strange that no attempt has been made (to the public knowledge) ....on Donald Trumps life.?

Remarkable.
