Maybe it contains good people who are trying to do positive things but all the headline grabbers are disrupters who do not seem to have a constructive thought in their heads. welshbairn Posted October 2, 2023 Share Posted October 2, 2023 The calculation is probably that it's better for his campaign if he can blame the verdict on a Democrat Judge and witch hunt rather a jury of ordinary people. I don't understand the process but it seems the judge has already found him guilty, the trial is about the penalty. One of Trump’s big problems is that he’s surrounded himself by yes people and there be no one in his orbit that will have the guts to tell him when he’s making a fool of himself. I’m delighted to see all the shit he’s in at the moment, both federal and state, civil and criminal, but if he had people who were willing to speak truth to power he might have avoided some of it. However he will not tolerate people who are not prepared to just agree with him. James submitted the form with “Trial without a Jury” checked. Alina Habba, Trump’s primary lawyer, is not exactly a top shelf attorney. Degree in 2010, complaints of racism in 2020 (settled out of court), a reported recording of her karaoking with n-bombs in her office, and a history of failing to file paperwork in a timely manner. Best guess, he picked her for her physical attributes, not her mind. She not even smart enough to turn off the RGB under glow and logo on the gamers laptop that she brought to court. Her primary attribute, besides being moderately attractive, is the fact she’s the lead counsel for MAGA Inc.
