The best way to counter hate is with reasoned argument, that involves listening to it, looking at where it stems from and doing all you can to make everyone feel like they have been heard, that has to include even the parts of society that many would consider distasteful. What we see in the american collegiate and increasingly our further education systems with this 'safe space' pish is only going to strengthen the rights resolve. I agree.
