Martin McGuinness resigns, Stormont in chaos

Will foster try to take the top job again or will that be absolute chaos???Surely the dup will put somebody else up

Which effectively means that SF get to choose who becomes FM or not!?
It wasn't the DUP who forced the collapse of the assembly, without an independent enquiry in the RHI scheme first.
Let it progress now, if Foster has questions to answer, that mean she needs to stand down then so be it.
Other parties can surely not dictate who should lead their opposition though?

No they cant, but its her actions that have caused this so surely the cooler heads (if there is any) in the dup have to be having a private word with her to step aside and let someone else take up the reigns

Eamonn McCann squeezed out in Foyle, disappointing to see that. Although if he had have been elected that would have left a dead heat between the DUP and SF!

It was SF that collapsed the institutions, it was SF that wouldn't agree to a public enquiry into RHI, it was SF that refused to have any talks to keep the show on the road, so SF can go and f*** themselves as far as I'm concerned. And I'm not in the DUP.

What's the current seat count between the DUP and SF, Jacksgranda?
Cheers

Well I never, looks like County Bunfield is more progressive after all & having two wummun leaders for the main parties didn't cost them at the ballot box.

All that's needed is for them to accept gay marriage, abortion & people being of a different religious persuasion to them without kneecapping them, seeing marching loudly past their window to wind them up as a "right", keeping them out of political power or employment, etc, etc, without draconian legislation forcing them to act like civilised human beings & they'll be all set for 21st century life. :)

What 'actions' are these? Nothing at all has been proved yet that she had committed any wrongdoings with regards to the RHI scheme, that SF were equally complicit in supporting.

It was used a smoke screen to try and hide naked political opportunism, who has it benefited from this?

Oh, aye, it's politics at its best/worst, if the fire had been in the other house the DUP would have done the same, no doubt.

But SF - or any of the other biggish parties - aren't squeaky clean regarding RHI, either, despite their hand wringing, poor taxpayers outrage.
