SetPieceSpecialist
Nobody gives a f**k about Lindsay apart from Partick Thistle fans Mulgrew, Martin, Berra and Hanley. Need I say more? If we could avoid conceding first so f*cking often then we would give ourselves a much better chance of winning games rather than barely drawing (for example, Lithuania) and that has to come with improvement at the back and Strachan won't change tactically so why not bring a young player who will likely be at an English championship team next season and try to slowly integrate him? Cooper isn't even in the squad any so why not Lindsay? Baffling but I'm biased I suppose. Whether or not we win tonight, looking at the big picture, Strachan has to step down in the immediate future if we want progression. We also need to fix our dreadful youth setup where players are often picked based on their club and not merit. To be fair Celtic are by far the best side in the Scottish Premiership. I agree Lindsay should be getting closer to the squad. You do see this moaning for personal club players a lot on here. Selfishly putting themselves before country. He should be in the under 21s mind you and it seems ridiculous he isn't.
DrewDon
I have only now realised why exactly I despise David Tanner so much: he is David Brent, but devoid of the redeeming comedy value.

In all fairness we've seen it time and time again where players are standing out but don't get near a cap, then all of a sudden they're transferred to the Old Firm and appear in the next squad. people are quite rightly pissed right off about it and let's face it does anyone think Lee Wallace would have been near the Scotland pool if he was playing at Aberdeen or back at Hearts ?? I see where you're coming from and yes, Celtic are a bit of a different entity but when he's performing well against the same teams that Celtic play against each week he has to be worth a shout.Talking about Lindsay may sound selfish coming from a Jag but centre-half has been a fairly long standing problem for us and with Souttar's injury, Lindsay is by far the best option and has been playing first team football for two seasons and added goals and maturity to his game. I also think that Kenny McLean and Graeme Shinnie should be in there ahead of McGinn and Wallace respectively so it's not just Thistle players but surely Doolan's worth a cap [emoji6]

If we somehow miraculously qualify and it's all down to picking Liam Cooper over Lindsay then I'll be happy to buy a Scotland top with Cooper's name on it but I don't see that happening and feel that our ageing squad is going to be a big problem in the next few years as we haven't established enough younger players to slot in. Agree on the u21s point. Jules over Lindsay? Like seriously?

Gordopolis
Any confirmation over Burke Fraser and S Fletcher's absence? The former two leave us dangerously short of pace to bring on. If we bring Anya on it should be on the wing, none of this fullback tosh. I know he plays there for his club but he's at his best on the wing for Scotland
