Oor Nicola Sturgeon thread.

There is a bit of stick for sturgeon coming for not deviating early from the WM Herd strategy and not using Scotland's devolved powers to push a trace-test-isolate strategy independent of WM.
It should be noted that those giving her stick include the Wings Sphere of Cybernat weirdos, the Common Weal think tank who tend to attract the professional and middle class Indy supporters and the Mail on Sunday who will claim to represent the soft mushy small c conservative No grouping.
That's a fairly broad spectrum of influences who have a negative view of her Covid pandemic performance, and the real danger to her is that the same forces being lined up to hammer the Tories now come after her. Of course there is a huge irony in the people who write the Daily Record complaining about lack of deviation from WM, and of charting our own path but nevertheless if it's an opinion that sticks, then long term it's not a good look for the 2021 elections.
Damned if she deviated and damned if she didn't.

I personally think she's done an excellent job of what is clearly a fine balancing act

Sturgeon has done well so far, more balanced and level headed than downing street but the testing needs to ramp up and the face mask thing is perhaps not the best idea.
If people were sensible it would be ok but some dafties will think it makes them invincible.

Obvs the quirks of the system have a lot to play but I would argue that Sturgeon's performance, and how it's viewed by wider society, will be more likely to have a damaging impact upon her within the party than in galvanising voters to look elsewhere. Jackie Baillie's been put in charge of election strategy so the SNP have zero to worry about from them.

She failed in her number 1 mission of stopping Brexit, put all her eggs into one basket and the electorate booted her in the pie, then she embarrassingly wibbled to Boris to allow Indy Ref 2 to which he replied with another boot in the pie.

WTF are you on about?

The Herald printing an article with David Icke atticking the fm is the last death throes before they turn off the lights

No matter who David Icke is attacking then publishing anything from that anti-Semitic nutcase is reprehensible. If anything an article by him attacking Sturgeon should see her appeal soar.

I hope you are all wearing the masks that she advised, or did she ? She has failed the Scottish public yet again.

Just to add, you do understand that a red dot on here has more relevance in UK politics than a SNP vote in a UK general election, keep them coming bravehearts.
