Arch Stanton
I'd been keen to see whyte in beside mcginn on Tuesday - he grew into the game in the 2nd half - he's never a full back though, I've read holding mid is his natural position who are we playing on Tuesday?
Shuggie_Murray7
The signings we have made this summer have been fucking terrible. If Stewart, Kirkpatrick and Reilly have you excited for the season ahead then more power to you. But let's be honest Gavin Reilly is absolutely shite. He's scored something like 5 goals in 2 years. Many tipped us to do well based on the end of last season. We've lost O'Brien, Mallan and Loy from that team and replaced them with shite. Will be very surprised if we're anywhere near the play offs.

sergie's no1 fan
Reilly has had a bad couple of years but his record with Queens at this level is pretty impressive. Playing him up front on his own with no support isn't going to help anyone.Early signs are showing it's going to be the same old shite. Just shows how well JR managed to gel the new signings together in January.
Silvio
Relax cuntos, it's early days. If we get to the end of the window with Davis, a new striker and keeping Morgan we'll be fine. ^^^^^^^^^^delusional

It was damage limitation for us in those circumstances.. What's the news on your defence? Are they out for a while or was it suspensions/short-term injuries? I'm switching into 'need all the good news we can get' mode already

Apparently Barr was playing through an injury yesterday as well. Sure to be a defensive masterclass all round.

Bloody hell. Don't worry if they're not back for a couple of weeks - we don't have any strikers.

Reilly scored 24 in 48 starts for QoS in two seasons in the Championship. Given the chance and some support he can score at this level. A few players struggling to settle in, but the team on the whole have looked lackadaisical in pre-season and in the League Cup so far. We'll definitely be in the play offs at least. Another 2 or 2 players to come in, with Eckersley and Magennis to come back from injury. We need to start approaching games the right way and we'll do much better.

Bobby_F
Given all the stick he's receiving I've never wanted a Saints player to succeed as much as I want Reilly to now :-). I was there on Saturday, and sure it was dreadful, but I'd be astonished if we play many games this season with Whyte at right back and Irvine at left back. Thistle ripped us to shreds on the wings, and losing a couple of poor goals to start with didn't help. You could visibly see the heads falling (no excuse for that) and in the end we were lucky only to lose the 5. Teams need a solid foundation to base themselves on otherwise the rest of the team suffers as they're terrified about what's happening behind them. With Eckersley left back, Irvine right back and Davis joining McKenzie we'll have that foundation. That said, even with those 4, if we've the same other 6 as our regular starting formation we'll struggle to score. Only positive to take from this are that it's two weeks until the league starts, and if there was any delusion among management/board that we still didn't need to make a couple of quality additions to the squad, Saturday will surely have swept them away.
Shandon Par
Would be delighted to see Gav get a hattrick against Falkirk (thereby trebling his previous season's tally). If Ross can come up with a way of getting him some supply then maybe he could get you goals but he always looked lost for us.

The reality is it's probably heehaw to do with football to be fair, though Stelios was suspended at the weekend so wasn't in the squad and the photos were put out on Saturday. Some Saints fans on BAWA seem convinced it's Scott McDonald, which poses the most obvious question. Why is he hanging about with Stelios?
