Molotov
@MenstrieSaint McGarvey (recently signed for Liverpool) and Munro both played the full 90 minutes. This was McGarvey’s second full cap having made his full international debut the week before against Northern Ireland. It was Munro’s first international appearance. https://www.11v11.com/matches/scotland-v-argentina-02-june-1979-235267/ A very proud day as a St Mirren fan to see two of your heroes playing against the reigning world champions. I can’t imagine how Iain and Frank felt pulling on that dark blue shirt. Wow! Both players would play 7 times for Scotland. Munro shares the Scottish appearance record with Billy Thomson for most number of full internationals while playing for St Mirren. It is frankly disgusting that Iain Munro is not in the St Mirren Hall of Fame. An iconic photo of Maradona. And he had many throughout his career. The video footage below has captured this moment with Diego in full control of the ball taking it past a number of Scotland players.
meadowroadsaint
Ian Munro is the best Left Back I’ve ever seen for Saints. A joy to watch. Stood up at the top of the Love Street end a good few times so I could ,hopefully, get an idea of how he managed to make playing that position so easy. Or so it seemed to me. Magnificent football player.

Magnificent football player. Last time I spoke with Iain was at the celebration of winning the Anglo Scottish Cup. It might have been the 35th anniversary in 2015. Iain travelled (I assume at his own expense) from USA to be at the event. He came across as such a humble guy who says that his time at St Mirren was the greatest period in his career. I don’t believe he ever won international recognition or trophies with any other club bar St Mirren. He qualifies for the Hall of Fame. What appears to tarnish his reputation at our club is the 24 hour period when he was appointed our manager. From what I understand he was informed that not all the directors were in favour of his managerial appointment so he felt from day 1 he did not have the backing of the board so he resigned. Unbeaten manager! Unbelievable left back! His partnership with Peter Weir was out fcuking standing.

If he is not picked soon I reckon we will see him play for the US at some point he must be due American citizenship . Working out of Norway after 5 years was entitled to Norwegian citizenship. Anyone know how citizenship in the US works.

I noticed on his Wikipedia page that there is no mention of the Championship title in 2017/18 that he played a key part in. He will be living an incredible life in the USA. I’m glad he is doing well out there. Good luck to him. Good guy! I think the move to Celtic was a poor choice in hindsight. Look what happened with Turnbull when he moved from Motherwell. Lewis always enjoyed a goal against Morten. Edited March 24 by Molotov

I think he may have been responsible for these monstrosities. The funniest thing about these is that if the home had actually been the one "under" the yellow on the away it looks like it'd be a nice saints kit. Alternatively you got one which was like watching a migraine.

Morgan on ~£1.1m a year and gets to live in New York. Gauld on ~£2m a year and lives in Vancouver. General level seems to be around the same as ours but less physical.
