The European football level St. Mirren FC 2024/25 thread

Should have been a comfortable win but Valur had their chances too.

Just one thing as an aside, is there a worse striker of a ball than Jonah Ayunga 🙈 the amount of times he cuts inside then proceeds to absolutely mishit the ball and it trickles straight in to the keepers hands. It's unbelievable.

If it wasnt for Balcombe we would have lost a couple.

Not a classic performance in a more than winable game

And if it wasn't for diabolically bad finishing we'd have scored 5.

Really need to crank the pressure on them in the last ten mins. But we have not really caused the keeper an issue.

Roland's shot was at full stretch..  Best save of the match

First competitive game and away from home, kept a clean sheet and created a lot of chances.

Disappointed not to have won the game but, fancy us to beat them at home.

This.

A bit frustrating but confident for the home leg.

Very frustrating watch that.
For the chances we had, we never forced a save of note and Balcome spared our blushes on a good few occasions.
Pluses for me were Brown and Idowu. Pass marks for most players.
STILL failing to see what Scott brings and Jonah simply has not been the same player since his injury. Not sure if it’s just his languid style, but he doesn’t even look interested these days.
Still, all that said, I think we’ll cuff them at our bit.

We could have had a few, but they could also have scored a couple.

Thought Balcombe was excellent, as was Gogic. Fraser was solid too.

Brown and O'Hara were good.

Idowu looked good when he came on.

Can't wait for next Thursday!

Eh?

Their 'keeper had a brilliant save from Olusanya in the first half, and as already mentioned had great save from Idowu too.
