Clubs normally are a bit more forgiving when it's one of their better players. No player should really ever be denied to make a living out of the game for mistakes so unless this turns out to be something truly heinous, then I hope Rooney finally takes the opportunity to evaluate his life and screw the nut. He's a good player but you can even tell on the pitch, he's an utter welt of a guy. Declan Gallagher played for Scotland after attacking someone with a baseball bat and going to jail so I'm sure it's not the last we've seen of Rooney but he really needs to learn his lesson with this and take his medicine here lest he allows himself to live a life as a complete waster. He's more likely to spend his peak years playing for Airdrie and getting into bother on social media getting into daft arguments all the time, tbh. A waste of ability, as regardless what you think of him he was absolutely custom built to be a wing back in the English leagues.
Busta Nut
of course Rooney will end up playing somewhere. I suspect mid to lower champ. The man's a clown.

He's brought himself and SMFC by proxy into disrepute. He's fortunate we even stayed neutral in the statement.
Coventry Saint
What's become clear is that the only way to get a run of performances out of Shaun Rooney is if your club is located in a rural backwater and there is a national lockdown that curtails his socialising.

Now he's been charged you really can't say anything about the potential case or which might indicate his guilt or otherwise.

Never known any other player leaving not getting the best wishes for the future. Must be bad. St Mirren one still quite low on the Jacob Blyth scale…
