Must say I was pretty impressed with Kiev and although many did plenty of moaning about it being difficult to get to they did an excellent job of hosting the final. Maybe Zidanes before Ronaldos seeing as Zidane scored in the final This 100%. Bale also took a slight step forward away from goal to get right underneath it and connected perfectly. The other thing a lot of folk have been missing is the quality of the goal from a team perspective. I think there were 20 odd passes in the build up to Marcelo putting the cross over. Falcor Roar Posted May 27, 2018 Share Posted May 27, 2018 The final was a bit of a let down, could have been a great game had Salah stayed on the pitch. It shows how much Liverpool rely on him though. Liverpool were pretty shite apart from Van Dijk and Mane. Countless times they did all the hard work getting it out of defence with short passes then the ball would be humped forward to nobody up top. Real were class but Liverpool made it easy for them for long spells. Shame that the game was defined by the Keepers mistakes but the Bale goal helped make up for it.
