TheScarf
Kyogo has signed a new 4 year deal. A good bit of business for when they sell him to Spurs or a SA club this time next year.
gannonball
Good to see him sign a new deal. Would have been easy for him to turn it down, leak it public and start interest with us not in a strong position. Think Rodgers and co deserve credit here.

gannonball
This 'warchest' is going to be another transfer surplus again isn't it? Its mad how much all these add ons could accumulate for us. We're lucky that our selling main market is probably the vastly inflated EPL but if we don't sell there we sell to other markets where they can end up there anyway with a healthy cut but being able to do it consistently is easier said than done. Adding in the Saudi stuff now too as a mercenary league on steroids means we need to constantly keep looking ahead for targets and tbh it's fucking great we don't have the handbrake as CEO now to stifle this. If anything the rise of the Saudi league is probably benefiting us more. You are now seeing players who haven’t even reached their prime opting for there rather than the EPL which for a club like us means higher transfer fees received as I’m not so sure than an EPL club would have went that high for Jota Edited July 4, 2023 by Jinky67
LuboMoravcik
New home kit is the worst ever. Jota, Mooy and Ange all gone. Good luck to them all as they did a good job with us. Glad we got a stupidly big fee for Jota. Tilio looks decent but highlight reels can be deceiving. Looking forward to seeing what he and the Norwegian lad can do.

The figures reported on the sale from Celtic to Leverkusen were £11.5m + add ons. It’s been widely reported that Leverkusen will sell him for €40m (c.£34m) . This would give Celtic 30% of c. £22.5m, around £6.75m. The £12m is based on a sale of €60m which I’m not saying is incorrect as the poster may be itk but it’s not a figure that I’ve seen quoted in the media recently.
ahemps
Are they signing Frimpong as well as Jurrien Timber?

We have a reported 30% sell on clause for Frimpong. That’s not 30% of the profit but 30% of the total fee. So €40 million - 70% = €12 million. Now add to that the profit we already made on him minus the 30% fee City took, Frimpong has been some piece of business. That would be right if it was 30% of the profit but if information is correct we have inserted the same clause Man City put on us which was 30% of the overall fee. And if that’s the case we are quids in Edited July 5, 2023 by Jinky67
