Starfelt's been very unconvincing in every game he's played so far. A bag of nerves every time the ball comes anywhere near him.

Agree, he makes mistakes every game so far but CB is a difficult position to come into. I think he just needs to keep playing and with that he will improve and get confidence.

He could have one leg and still be able to play in Celtics defence against all the opposition in Scotland mate.

He still managed to marshall the defence of a team that finished comfortably in 2nd place 14 points clear of the 3rd placed team and had the 2nd best defensive record.

True, true, he did really well for us last season, what with all his marshalling, was sorry to see him go. 😉

They are so petty

Celtic supporters are set to be locked out of Ibrox for next week’s derby showdown after Rangers chiefs performed a dramatic U-turn.

Record Sport understands Celts were set to get 700 tickets for the Premiership clash – and the briefs were printed up and sent to Parkhead.

But Rangers have pulled the plug after they couldn’t get cast iron guarantees the situation would be reversed when the sides meet in the East End in January.

It is believed Celtic were hopeful of allowing Gers fans in for the return game but couldn’t fully commit due to their current red zone protocols, which are optimistic of being lifted in the coming weeks.

But Ibrox bosses wanted the away numbers written in stone and with talks stalling they have now told their rivals no Celtic fans will be getting in to the stadium next Sunday.

Celtic chiefs have been left stunned – and they were hoping to ramp up talks about the reinstatement of the previous allocations for Old Firm away fans of up to 7,000.

And here starts the tit for tat when it comes to the next fixture which is the New Year game, Rangers will have their fans locked out for what is likely to be a more crucial match. It seems a bit silly when Celtics hands are bit tied with the current red zones and they can’t exactly tell ST holders they can’t get a seat.

But we know it has really f**k all to do with fairness and everything to do with gaining any advantage they can

Why are you constantly running the Scottish game down?  And who are you comparing it to?

Done deal

How much have Celtic spent this summer vs what they have brought in? From an outside pov they appear to have spent quite a bit with Ajer being the only major incoming fee although I am old & wise enough to know most of the spend will be offset when uninterested Eddie departs before September.

Abada - £3.5m
Kyogo - £4.5m
Starfelt - £4m
Hart - £1m
Sheffield Wednesday guy - £250k
McCarthy - free

£13.25m in total so far, pretty much what we got for Ajer.

Seems decent business, Starfelt aside although he may get his act together through time. Welsh is starting to make me hopeful from a Scottish National Team perspective & overall can see the title race being nip and tuck this year. Although I obviously still wish a pox on both arse cheeks, I can see your mob being wildly entertaining & I am thankful we won't be on the end of the 8 or 9 goal humping that will be dished out at some point.
