Very similar performance to the Challenge Cup game. No cutting edge, Livingston score from f**k all with terrible defending then they take complete control of the game and comfortably see it out. There was no prospect of us scoring today.

We just couldn't break Livi down today and it seems like we'll struggle to do that with any team who are well organised at the back. We simply don't have any width at all in the team.

We rely on two full-backs who don't give us anything going forward. Both Forbes and Tidser went missing in midfield. Forbes at least showed a couple of flashes in the 2nd half but Tidser was totally anonymous the whole time he was on the field and was rightly hooked. When Forbes and Tidser don't perform Morton don't perform. Felt a bit sorry for Murdoch today as he was doing all the work and I mean ALL the work in midfield.

We are crying out for a Nesbitt type player to stretch defences. It's not happening out wide for us and I really hope Duffy is looking at this before the transfer window closes.

Livi took their goal from yet another defensive mix up. But well done to them on their victory.

Should have had 2 penalties but that was dire. We didn't play a bit of football, no creativity.

Can't comment on the first one you claimed for as it was the opposite side but the 2nd claim is right infront of us and is an absolutely tremendous tackle by Gallagher to stop a certain goal.

Sounds like a bit of a role reversal from ourselves compared to last week. We could not break St Mirren down, but we've seen it out today defensively. A cracking win, would've took a draw tbh, but really glad we've got the first win out the way rather than having it drag on into September.

Can't comment much more as I wasn't there but similar performances to today's will see us fine, by the sounds of it.

One of those days. We weren't at the races, Livingston stopped us from playing and were far better in possession of the ball than we were.

Don't know why we keep insisting on playing hoof ball from the back when you can see very early on it isn't working. So frustrating to watch.

Scott Tiffoney is better than Aiden Nesbitt. The last thing this side needs is a sand dancer with no end product.

"one of those days" also suggests that this was some sort of one off for us. We're fucking abysmal, and have been for some time. It's entirely on Jim Duffy and the recent contract extension was pure stupidity from Dougie or whoever is running the show now.

Aye, that was an outstanding tackle. The referee had a shocker throughout and the penalty claim in the first half was a blatant foul, but that was the right decision.

As much as he's a p***k, Gallagher was the best player on the park by a distance today.

More like ourselves today after last week's poor show. Def have been missing Keaghan, he was everywhere today putting in tackles and helping us dominate midfield. And Gallagher was tremendous at the back, what a tackle to stop Quitongo from scoring. Our back 3 are working well together, they cover each other brilliantly too.

Much the same script as our cup win against Morton, we defended well and launched a long ball up the pitch for our striker to run onto, Mullen this time, and nick it past their keeper. Once it went in we just saw out the game and broke up play with wee fouls and milking it when we got fouled to run the clock down. Frustrating to watch when you're chasing the game but vital sometimes to be able to hold onto a 1 goal lead.

Good to get the league win monkey off our backs too, think it made a difference not having a midweek game and everyone was on top form to work their arse off for the 3 points.

Not pretty but very very happy with that.

I thought over the game we edged it and deserved our win, although both keepers had very little to do.

Much more like ourselves today after last weekends disappointment, dominated the middle of the park and it's no real surprise that Jacobs returned in there, I think he brings the best out of those around him, especially Pitts.

Defence was solid yet again, Gallagher the pick of the bunch for me, won everything in the air and that goal saving tackle was unreal.

Good to get that win in the league now looking forward to the trip down south for the TNS game next weekend.

#gary what a shite post mate. Duffy has done a smashing job at Morton. Just cause you lost to FC Hollywood doesn't mean it's the end of the world, Morton are a solid championship side who've progressed since he's took over. Still in the race for a play off spot so don't be a fanny and make out you're on the same level as Brechin cause yous have done well the past couple of years.

Good result for Livi hopefully those results at the start of the season are out of our system and we can concentrate on finishing in a solid position. Well done to halkett and Gallagher, wasn't at the game but heard they were solid again. Hopkin is doing a great job with Livi the now.
