I'll be very surprised if the original recipe isn't back on the shelves in a while at twice the price. What's the maximum you'd pay, @G_Man1985 Will be marketed as "Bru Throwback" or "Bru Retro" or something similar. Worked for Mountain Dew. They do smaller batches of stuff made with proper sugar as opposed to the high fructose corn syrup. Bit dearer but nice on occasion.
Miguel Sanchez
I currently have 132 cans of the real stuff in my possession. Feel free to start your bidding at whatever you like. -
Guest Moomintroll
Plenty of original recipe available down here still, cross border raids are an option if going cold turkey doesnt appeal.
Hedgecutter
If a can is saying that it has 34g sugar per 100ml, is that the new or original stuff?

That would be the ultra-strong variety that immediately induces diabetes after 1 can. If it’s 34g per 330ml can then yes that’s original.
Hedgecutter
Actually, I've probably made the major error of using a number from memory here it would seem. Remembering numbers is an ability that has evaded me all my life. Cheers anyway though. Try adding 5 spoons of sugar to the new stuff before making the divorce final. You've just given me images of staff kitchens where folk are pouring Irn Bru into mugs and asking tea makers if they're finished with the sugar before stirring it in.
locheedfcno1
Original available Woolworths, Walkerville South Australia. Send credit card and bank account details including PIN. How much does that work out in sterling ?
Dindeleux
How much does that work out in sterling ? You get about 10,000AUD for a £1 so it’s pretty reasonable.

However, like f*** will I be revealing the location of this last bastion establishment.
