A Photographic History Of Scottish Football

Shoot magazine previewing the 1984 Cup finals, three Scotland internationals on the cover, obviously they decided against using Everton's most influential players that season, Andy Gray and Graeme Sharp which would have seen an all Scottish front cover.

Going off on a slight tangent here but, for a player so prolific in the English top flight in the mid 1980's its bizarre how utterly ineffectual Graeme Sharp was for the national team.

My mind may be playing tricks, but wasn't the same true for Brian McClair?  Something like 2 goals in his whole Scotland career?  (2 in 30 - I just checked).

United line up against a Selangor XI featuring Bruce Grobbelaar for the opening of the Shah Alam stadium in Malaysia in 1994 in front of a reported 100,000 crowd. They'd also play Bayern Munich and an Australia XI, with all of the games ending in a draw.

The stadium fell onto disrepair and was blown up this week

Celtic Team Line-Up 1979-80 - Pic

Just saw this on facebook. Celtic squad 1979/80.

Three Saltcoats lads in the photo. Two of them went to my school, one played for Scotland at Basketball, one is the most decorated Celtic player of all time and took us for summer football camps and the other is my aunt's brother!

Right enough. Should have realised that, I was at the bloody game.
