Eednud
Football special 1926 style. No time for a pint in Forfar before the game as pubs shut at 2.30pm back then. Plenty of time after the game though.

Mark scott
Bobby McKean... With the exception of Kenny Dalglish, he was my absolute hero as a boy. Even though he left Saints for Rangers, he was my favourite player in Scotland. Then he died. I was 11 years old. Can still remember the day....

Final was a fortnight later... that's still 2 days before Germany invaded Poland and 4 days before Britain declared war on Germany, but with many preparations well underway... ending Aberdeen 2-2 Falkirk before 12,000; the Bairns missed striker Keyes, who was capped for the Scottish League in their 3-2 win over the Irish League at Windsor Park: With league football suspended for 6 weekends after the outbreak of hostilities, there was a brief revival of local cup interest, so unusually the replay at Brockville was held on Saturday 30th September, finishing 2-1 to the visitors but still before only 8,000: Falkirk went on to win SFL East Division but lost title playoff to Rangers. Mr Raitt is an egg chaser unfortunately When googling Mr Raitt (David), born in Buckhaven, up popped another David Raitt, born in Dundee. The Dundee born lad was not as fortunate as he was wounded in 1915 and then again in 1917 where he lost a leg, an arm and an eye. Fathered another 2 children to add to an earlier 2. Lived in Callander post WW1 and died ages 63 in 1951.:David Raitt the football player moved to Everton in 1922 then Blackburn Rovers in 1928 and Forfar Athletic in 1929.
