Participated in 2012 as hosts; but haven't entered qualifying since FA abolished amateurism (though in recent times that's been superseded by performance of a home nation in U21s anyway).

19/8/1967 League Cup Group 3, Dundee 2 (George McLean, Billy Campbell) Motherwell 1 (Bobby Campbell) Att: 10,000. Dundee won the group with 5 wins and 1 draw, beat East Fife 5-0 on aggregate in QF, then St Johnston 3-1 at Tannadice in the SF before losing 3-5 to Celtic in the Final.

It's a plaster cast they put on after he broke his leg and ankle in the 7th minute. A quick wipe down with the trainers sponge, plaster added and back on the pitch in the 19th minute. None of your rolling around, namby pamby nonsense because somebody brushed against you. They were real men back in them there days.

Died young in a work related accident.
