Jamaldo
It's a good question PB. Lost count of the amount of times I've been chopping banana for my porridge and the banana has ended up tasting more of chopping board than banana.

WeWereThePeople
I had a glass one. The noise when cutting cheese is unbearable. Had a wooden one for years and it still works perfectly.

Todd_is_God
I gave a glass one, however I also have a wooden one. I'll put the wooden one on top the glass one. I've never considered before now that that might be weird. It works fine so I doubt I'll be replacing it any time soon.
invergowrie arab
Great question. Just replaced all of mine last week after 2 years. I favour the coloured plastic and obviously meat and veg see more action than fish but I just replaced them all anyway as its a miserable time of year and I wanted to give myself a boost. sjc
I have 2 plastic chopping boards. 1 for meat, 1 for veg as well as a wooden one for cheese. Pour boiling water onto the board immediately after chopping meat on it though.

I hope people don’t judge me as dirty because of this. The case for the prosecution is already pretty damning so don’t worry about it.
