Mark Connolly
What a finish to this game - drop goal attempt hits the post, bounces back in, and gets grounded by a Saints player, who may or may not have been offside when the kick was taken!

peasy23
Kevin Sinfield runs his 7th marathon in 7 days today to raise funds for MND, inspired by his team mate Rob Burrow. His initial target was £77,777, his total raised at the moment is just over £812k.

Torpar
Just received an email from Toronto Wolfpack thanking the fans for being with them on their journey and stating the team will not return in 2021, so more than likely it's game over for them. Nice while it lasted and they seemed to annoy a lot of bitter Cumbrians but felt like it was never going to last in the long term. Hopefully now Canada gets some kind of sustainable domestic league.
Eednud
New rules for NRL next season: The NRL has announced several rule changes for the 2021 Telstra Premiership season to make the game "faster, more free-flowing, entertaining and unpredictable". The changes are: the introduction of a two-point field goal for kicks taken from more than 40 metres out; six-again to be called for 10-metre infringements; penalties for teams if they leave a scrum before a referee calls "break"; a play-the-ball restart if the ball or player with the ball goes over the sideline; The Bunker will now review replays after an on-field referee awards a try but a conversion attempt will not be allowed until it gets the green light; injured players will be interchanged if a trainer ask for play to be stopped; when a captain's challenge is inconclusive a team will not be docked for an unsuccessful attempt; and a handover will be ordered when a player does not make a genuine attempt to play the ball correctly with their foot

afca32
Some of these rules might improve the game but I feel like it would benefit more if they stopped the constant changes.

Eednud
First NRL pre-season game for 2021 tonight between the Sharks and the Dragons. Game being played at Shark Park (Pointsbet Stadium) although reconstruction work still underway and don’t think they officially return until 2022. For any Eels fans this is a history of their kit.
Eednud
Last night the Dragons lost 6=28 at home to the Eels. Interesting thing is the game finished just after the 70 minute mark which must have been agreed by the coaches as not due to serious injury or adverse weather. ETA: forgot to add this was a pre-season trial. Edited February 18, 2021 by Eednud

Mark Connolly
Is the quarters thing a trial for this game or is it going to last all season?

raith_94
Not the best game, although tough conditions. Beyond excited that NRL is back soon though - catching up on trial replays this lunchtime far better than watching Southampton Chelsea!Jordan Riki to have a big season for the Broncos. Especially if Walters let's someone else coach...
