I saw the attempt as the players came out the tunnel at it was an absolute minter, lucky if 30% of the stand took part.

I’ve got a guy that’s in the union bears on my instagram and he put a picture up from Sunday and the display was carried out perfectly so god knows.

Those at the game would have seen the display. No real surprise no Celtic poster saw it.

It was done perfectly apart from the timing.  It was a good 5 minutes before the teams came out. Once one tit threw his away they all started so there was little left by the time the teams came out.

Anyway nice to see it’s not only myself among the Rangers posters who believes WWTP is an utter cock.

Not done perfectly then?

Look Romeo, the art of holding up pieces of paper has many complexities and the end result is down to more than just timing.

There's finding the piece of paper sat on your chair, there's the act of actually holding it up, there's figuring out what to do with your 6 pies you've bought for the first half while you hold the paper up.  Do I stand or sit?  Can I sing?  If I sing how do I clap when I'm holding this bit of paper?

In all that stress I think it's understandable if the timing becomes a difficult task.

I presume you'll share the same viewpoint with regards to 6 or 7 of rangers 9IAR titles, you know, since Celtic were such a shambles financially...

That’s true enough, but you still had a side on the park in the same division no? The competition and fierce rivalry was still very much there, do I recall a season where your mob lost just once over the term and still didn’t win the league?

You’ve had at least three seasons where the closest threat to finishing top of the pile has come from a side who roll over for a ‘tummy tickle’ every time you play them. The Championship was a far more interesting competition for a season with Rangers the Jambos and Hibs for example. The Green & Grey hordes must have been bored shitless at having such a pointless free run. Would be interesting to see if attendances at the time proved that.

Hmm, so the last two years there's been a bigger challenge than when you weren't around?

Care to back that one up chief?

Even holding up red cards to "Say No to Liquidation" is fraught with difficulties.

I mean, one second you're quite rightly raging against the financial mismanagement of your club, and fearing the worst for it. The next you realise it doesn't matter at all and the club can't actually go bust as it's merely an ethereal concept.

It's all extremely confusing for the wee lambs.

Yeah reminds me of when my walk home from the pub went 'perfect' except for the timing*

*Thought I would make it home in time but I shat my pants. Apart from that it went perfect though.

^^^ shitty pants

Feel bad now, didn't realise the complexity involved in holding up a sheet of A4.

I apologise unreservedly

Not sure why Bain is getting credited with making a magnificent save at the end of the match when he palmed the ball straight to the feet of the opposition striker in front of an open goal. He certainly got lucky when said opposition striker made a complete arse of it, but it was dreadful goalkeeping.

Even if they go on to win 7 on the bounce, they’ll know deep down at least 3 of their recent ‘titles’ were uncontested Ben?

Would say you are being a little harsh on the keeper for that one. He done well to get down and across. He didn't really have much of a choice but to try and push it wide, which he done. I'd say keeper done OK, the defending was poor(In terms of reactions), and the finishing was horrendous.

the Bain save at the end was decent imo, Windass took the shot very early and it's been firmly struck across the keeper who may have been a bit unsighted too.

I think he could maybe have done better with the first goal though, which goes straight through him - it's firmly struck from close range, and Boyata was significantly more culpable for getting caught in possession, but if he spreads himself out better/is just a little bit sharper off his line he blocks the shot.

In the competitive season, Hearts (s)trolled the Championship by 21 points from second-placed Hibs. The same year, Celtic won the Premiership by 17 points. I know the Jambos weren't bored shitless that season, so I'm struggling to understand why Celtic fans would have been bored in a closer-run title race that season in the top division.

When Rangers won the Championship the following season, there were 2 teams just 11 points adrift of them. That was a significantly closer-run thing than either of the titles in the "competitive Championship" season.

Of course, the following year was the biggest parade in living memory, with Celtic storming to a 30-point margin of victory over Aberdeen. Rangers were also in the Premiership that season, but their challenge for the runners-up spot ultimately foundered and they finished exactly halfway between Aberdeen and St. Johnstone. With another 39 points and just 70 (seventy) more goals they would have shaded it on goal difference.

My problem is perhaps that I'm looking at the facts as a neutral. But it does seem as though Celtic had a tougher time of it when Rangers weren't around in the top tier.
