BawWatchin
It's balanced between right and wrong, as opposed to subjective view points. -

There is no doubt that over the course of yesterday's programme that it would be regarded as balanced but goodness me, some of the contributions were loaded with prejudice and ignorance. There are broadcasters who specialise in sharing the views of such a cohort and the BBC shouldn't be one of them. but that is unlikely to be his individual preference to a debate; that is BBC apparent policy

The only "very strong" reaction I've come across are those of Beattie's well informed text contributors and the denizens of the coronavirus thread on this very website. The grown ups realise the seriousness of the situation, unlike one contributor today on the BBC who called Nicola Sturgeon "Scotland's Hitler". That's the level of inclusiveness the BBC are inviting.

Occasionally the vox pop stuff is cringeworthy - that's not Beattie's fault but idiotic producers going to tabloid level journalism.

Speak your brains has no right to be a feature on the main news broadcast. Even if it’s a question of experts in their public guise, that’s not what the news is for.

BawWatchin
All the BBC focus is on business shut downs and job losses in Scotland. Getting every pished up pub owner they can find to come on and spout ill informed pish. There's absolutely nothing about why these measures have been taken and the scientific advice behind it. Just anything that can stick it to naughty nic.

By all accounts this wave is worse than the first and yet we have less restrictions than March. If anyone thinks this is following science then I have a bridge for sale.
