I think that Nicola Sturgeon is afforded the same level of privacy that is granted to every other corporate friendly politician.

Given that the BBC treated the 'he said, she said' tittle tattle of the Salmond enquiry with the same screaming headlines as the 2nd coming of Christ or the start of world war 3 -in what looked to the casual observer as a co-ordinated attempt to bring down Nicola Sturgeon- while barely giving mention to Johnson misleading parliament.....your statement seems unlikely to be true.

I think the fact that the BBC omitted the majority of Salmond's defence from their headline documentary of the trial showed their colours on that matter.

In a perfect world the Tories would be held accountable for their sleaze but milking the public purse is Dog Bites Man. The Salmond case involved a false allegation intended to imprison a high profile politician for potentially the rest of his life and the coverage has reflected the exceptional nature of those circumstances.

No. I'm not happy with that.

Jack Perry was Chief Executive of Scottish Enterprise between 2003 & 2009.

Labour (and their little Lib Dem puppets) were in power at Holyrood at the time of his appointment. Why would Labour appoint an "SNP placeman"?

Jeanne Freeman was either a Labour Party member or was not a member of any political party at the time she was appointed to (practically?) all of her public roles. As far as I can see, none of these public roles were on the list of quangoes I provided.

She spoke to my my local "Yes" group in the run-up to the 2014 indyref. She was described as a founder of Women For Independence, not as an SNP member. She also spoke at Labour For Independence metings.

She was not a member of the SNP in November 2014, when the SNP voted in favour of allowing non-members to stand as their candidates in the general elections. Nicola Sturgeon actually specifically named Freeman as an example of the sort of person that might be chosen by a constituency branch. Obviously, she resigned all public roles after she was elected.

So, having shown that your first two examples are incorrect, do you want to try again?

No - I’ve more important things to do but, I have admitted I cannot prove my contention, so I’ll leave it there.

I can't believe that someone who rode the political tides as skillfully as Freeman eventually oversaw the Covid Care Home Massacre and hospitals turning into infection factories.

It's almost as if political parties should avoid promoting cynical careerists.....

Think on, the same level of privacy?  how about a level of respect for the political leader of a Sovereign country.

Banksy is guerilla activism for long 90s people in million pound houses and should not be emulated.

It's just pop art, it doesn't have to be the next John Maclean

Being that Banksy's contemporaries are Emin and Hirst, I'm willing to forgive plenty

There is a website that claims the BBC is lefty-liberal biased.

It also claims the UK is controlled by the lefty-liberals.

I presume they mean Johnson, Mogg, Patel, Raaab etc., the well known socialists.

I don't know what they want instead of a liberal society.

Oh, wait, I do know. The website is called The Conservative Woman

and is full of right-wing rhetoric...or shite for want of a better description.

While I'm here, I have a petty BBC niggle to share.

On Mastermind the other night, the answer to a question was Kirkcudbright.

The quizmaster said, " Kirkcudbright,  Scotland"

If the answer had been, for example, 'Tunbridge Wells' he would not have said

"Tunbridge Wells,  England".   The practice is not restricted to quiz shows, of course,

the news bulletins are the most common offenders.

It's petty, but it's an insidious practice and it pisses me off.

It's not petty in the slightest, just part of the long game for them.

The difference in the leaders interviews on Radio Scotland is stark.

Last week, Nicola Sturgeon was constantly interrupted and put under some good pressure.

Today, Murray Ross was put under zero pressure.

Things like this that lead to folk being swivel eyed about the BBC.
