They should have had it drilled into them not to give Thomson a sniff of pulling the red out.

I think Thomson's ability to go full Collum is a bit underrated. He can get an itchy trigger finger on big decisions.

Any competent referee would have given that red card. It wasn't optional. Would have liked to see Brown get a yellow just because it's him; but it wasn't a stick-on yellow and certainly couldn't have been a red.

Spot on.

"Excessive force or brutality" is required for a red card.  That might have been stupid, but it wasn't either of those things.

This needs more attention.

Kipre looks a disaster waiting to happen every time I’ve seeb him. A couple of yellows may have been enough for what was handbags but Kipre is a diddy

Away you go, he'll win our Young Player of the Year by quite a distance.

That’s three times Craig Thomson has had a shocker against us this season. Also three games against Celtic where they’ve had a lucky decision go for them.

Hopefully things will even themselves out in the second half.

Arguing that kicking an opponent is not a red card is the most Motherwell thing ever.

There were plenty of Celtic fans arguing an elbow to the face wasn't a red last week.
