HibeeJibee
Apparently this season's draw is:Berwick v Spartans Edinburgh City v Camelon Unless the "greatest comeback in history" occurs... Berwick's impending relegation means next season only requires a Final. So to recap:2017-18 (double held-over) Final Edinburgh City v East Kilbride2018-19 (held-over) Semi-Finals Berwick Rangers v Spartans Edinburgh City v Camelon2019-20 Final Edinburgh City v (EOS Qualifying Cup winner) Edited May 12, 2019 by HibeeJibee

HibeeJibee
I gather 2017-18's final is going to be played in pre-season... this season's tournament will be caught up over the course of next season... next season's final would normally be in April anyway.
GNU_Linux
With the talk of the EOS restructuring their cups surely this has to be a prime candidate for the axe?

Confirmed yesterday no EOS Qualifying League next season. EOS League Cup straight knockout. Vote on King Cup being for First Division only. Other cups unaffected. Craig fae the Vale
Edinburgh City beat East Kilbride 5-2 at Oriam to win the 17-18 edition of the City Cup today (according to Twitter)
VillanoXIV
It was a fun game. Highlight of the game was absolutely Darren O'Dea getting sent off on his East Kilbride debut after halfing someone with a horror tackle eighteen minutes into the first pre-season friendly of the season. After that, the pressure on East Kilbride being a man down took it's toll and they were absolutely fucked by the end of the game so the second half was a bit of a stroll for Edinburgh City. Credit to them for making the effort to complete the tournament. It might seem silly, but it's very annoying to see tournaments not being played to completion and it's nice to see them keeping the lineage of the Cup alive when most teams wouldn't bother their arse.

tamthebam
I didn't know Carmuirs now had THE DEVIL'S ILLUMINATION. Well done them. Nothing against Berwick but I hope Spartans beat them so we can keep alive the possibility that the old tradition of City getting stuffed by them in Cup Finals might be revived..
HibeeJibee
I can't make tomorrow night's SF - I very much hope we eliminate the Piltonites or else I might never see us play in this again . Wise words. Boooooo.
HibeeJibee
Berwick 1-2 Spartans 'Dream Team' most likely bow-out of the EOS Cup after almost 70yrs unbroken presence, including an extraordinary (possibly world record) winning streak some decades ago, and 34 triumphs. Genuinely leaves me quite sad. It was always a sort of last, unshakeable consolation of a season - if all else went awry there was still the reliable, doughty City Cup. Personal highlight remains an outstanding Lee Currie freekick and superb Damon Gray leap to come back and beat Spartans 2-1 in 2011.
