HibeeJibee
Mexico + Japan only non-Europeans/South Americans in knockouts. Lowest for some time?
Jamaldo
Panama and Egypt the only teams to finish pointless. Also every team that finished bottom of their group scored two goals.

Which of course means we need to double the amount of places available to all federations except Europe and SA.
Fullerene
Switzerland versus Sweden. I am pretty neutral about that one.

Ned Nederlander
Anyone else cringe like f'ck when the BBC or ITV show us how their pundits reacted to goals/penalties/any-such-thing !? Not interested, f'ck off.

Shotgun
Even if tomorrow's games are scoreless, the Round of 16 will still have produced more goals than the group stages. If we keep on at this rate, England should get pumped about 6-0 in the final.
PauloPerth
The last time the World Cup Final featured two teams who'd never played in a previous World Cup Final was way back in the second World Cup ever held, 1934. Belgium the only team from the top half of the draw that can contribute to ending that record. In the bottom half of the draw, Croatia, Russia, Switzerland or Colombia would all be new finalists. Out of 21 previous finals (42 potential teams), there have only been 12 different countries that have played in one. So if Switzerland and Colombia win tomorrow, we will have a 13th different finalist, as none of the four teams left in that side of the draw have been there before. J_Stewart
I would like this World Cup to be injected straight in to me in this exact same manner. It’s fucking sensational.

Melanius Mullarkey
As enjoyable as these games have been, the 7pm kick offs are shit as, unless we get extra time, it’s all done by 9pm. Too early.

Brazil had never previously taken part in a World Cup Final, they had only taken place in an encounter which happened to be the concluding Final Group Stage match, in 1950 there was no actual "Final".
