ayrunitedfw
I genuinely couldn’t tell you what song we run out to these days, it was Thunderstruck by AC/DC for a bit and then United with Pride from the Seaside sons. What is it now? Edited September 29, 2023 by ayrunitedfw
Shibuya
A song about Bobby Williamson, one about Lawrence Shankland and a Wolves/Wednesday anthem.
edinburghhonestman
Good that they're giving it some thought. I'm not hugely inspired by any of the options but if you get it right and the fans buy in and join in it can really help with the atmosphere. Different demographic I know, but when one of my daughters was at university in the US they adopted Back Home by Andy Grammer at the college football and the entire crowd would join in.
Trogdor
I don't know if we ever ran out to it but I enjoyed the spell where we had The Game by Motorhead pre-match. I'm sure I remember the Panda doing a Triple H impression as well!
Trogdor
Incidentally, did Queens Park run out to the theme from Local Hero or did I imagine that last weekend? I know Newcastle run out to that.

I was expecting more recent tunes from the lad to be honest.

diege
Going by the press conference for these club anthems Hi Ho Silver Lining - Aston Villa / Sheff Wed = No thanks Daydream Believer - Only against Killie I think we're alone now - Only relevent with Lawrence Shankland who no longer plays with our club This needs a major rethink, Sham69 only one in my thoughts Edited September 30, 2023 by diege
Richey Edwards
Born To Run by Bruce Springsteen. Because our manager is a big fan of running.
Iain
When you watch the English games it's interesting how some of them have random anthems - Palace sing Glad All Over, Brentford sing Hey Jude, etc. Even up here songs like Sunshine on Leith or Paper Roses get whole crowds singing together. It would be cool for Ayr to have something like that, but I'm not sure it can happen as an inorganic club-led initiative.
Rb123
Crystal Palace use glad all over which would be pretty cool if it worked up here, if the fans were signing it you could change the words to "Ayr all over" Idk if that would work or not...
Richey Edwards
I have followed the club for nearly 24 years, and I have never once thought that the song that the team runs onto the pitch to had any importance whatsoever.

There hasn't been a decent atmosphere at Somerset Park outside of derbies for over twenty years. Some change would be welcome.
