Superhursty7
Suppose if we keep getting results we are going to have to get used to the management team getting linked with every job going, makes an argument for a transfer window for managers as well as players

All this is working so far and he can, over the next 18 months put himself right in the shop window for a better job. He didn’t have a massive impact on results or performances when he took over and insisted on playing a certain way despite not having the players for it. He ultimately kept us up with a couple of games to go and there was no desire from the club or the support to make a change at that point, there were a lot of small, positive changes, in contrast to Bullen, who more or less kept us up thanks to John Hughes. If he went to Hibs for instance and had the same circumstances, would he be given the time to fix it? They must have changed manager once a season for the last 10 years. For him to be allowed to do a complete root and branch rebuild, Hibs would have to go down. At Raith, he’d be going in to someone else’s team, with 2 weeks of the window open, when most players are signed up elsewhere. It would be a huge gamble.

Think that was more I’m doing everything I can and fans can help by getting along etc etc, but I’m sure he was trying to getting something out of Tony Fernandes
Nelson
The compensation we’d want for Brown (and Whittaker) would be significant 6 figures - I know Raith have a bit of money these days, but doubt they have that much, particularly as Murray will also be due a 6 figure compensation payout as well.
Thumper
1270 season tickets isn't that bad considering where the club has finished most of the last few seasons. Smith sounded pretty desperate there, which is worrying. Did he honestly expect season tickets to treble because he put in some padded seats?

Depends what is in their contracts obviously but yeah. Raith would also need to cover Brown's 20 grand a week salary.

We had 2857 there on Friday with roughly 400 away fans. Meaning we had nearly as many walk up fans as we did season tickets. That's not going to fall away if they keep going well.
Shibuya
Think 3k will be a struggle on Saturday but reckon another win and we'll have over 3,000 vs Raith.

Superhursty7
It's going to take time to bring lapsed fans back even when we were flying high with McCall and the Moff and Shanks at their best we still struggled to get 3K

They'd rather watch a team on their dodgy firestick who can't even have their stadium ready for the new season.

With no early bird discount, if someone hasn’t bought a season ticket after this Saturdays game, they’d be as well parking the whole conversation until half seasons are on sale because it would be virtually the same price for a walk up ticket every week.
Rb123
I like how folk have moaned in the past about the club doing feck all to try and encourage supporters along and then when you get the chairman doing a club interview exactly about that folk still moan... He acknowledges there's a challenge with crowd numbers because of historical challenges which we all know on here. Plus it's also been great to actually see an effort made on the socials almost every day so far drumming on about tickets for Saturday. Much rather they over communicate than under communicate
