Totally disagree that this is the broadcaster's responsibility. We've stated we want to be 'premier league ready', which means having things like media facilities and camera positions available that don't involve blocking the view of supporters in the ground or offering shots that have fences covering part of the pitch.
However, the new stand is just up and it's early days. Perhaps there's a plan in place to deliver these facilities soon.

I do get why some posters are being quite defensive on this issue. We’ve a chairman who’s shelled out £2m for a new stand and yet people are seen to be complaining.  But honestly, that picture I posted above should be the beginning and end of any debate about whether it was a mistake not to integrate a small camera platform into the design.  The argument that the TV companies are responsible for providing this is just bizarre.  Aside from blocking people’s view, it also didn’t show up too well on TV - too low and too close to the pitch.  The provision for and use last night of cameras in line with the 18 yards boxes at the rear of the stand shows what could have been achieved.  Could also have been used by our in-house people as well - the camera position for our own highlights/streaming has always been pretty woeful.

Only negative I would say about last night from watching on the TV it sounded on the whole as if the atmosphere was flat as a pancake.

If you're demolishing a team 5-0 at home the place should be rocking

Unless the BBC mics just didn't pick up...

I think that’s unfair. The atmosphere was was good I thought

Ayr are top of the league, with hopes of winning it, with last night probably the best performance we've seen at Somerset in recent years.

Forgive me for not giving two shits about where the BBC put their cameras.

Fair f**ks to Ayr for that performance last night. Made Airdrie look very poor and didn't let them play at all.  Was really impressed with the high press and work rate all over the pitch. Hard to pick out anyone in particular but Henderson and Rus looked class.

I'd have given man of the match to Musonda though. He powered up and down that right side all night, was defensively solid and unlucky not to score. I didn't know he was a right back. Assumed he was a centre back.

He is a centre back but played lb last season and now the last 2 games at rb and done very well lacks a bit of pace but can defo see him chipping in with a few goals from the rb position

Oh well that’s my Saturday away. Good thing that my other half is away out in an hour and won’t be back until late.

The BBC always mute the mics at Somerset for some reason, maybe due to some of the colourful vocabulary. The atmosphere was fine, wasn't electric or anything.

I've noticed that the upturn in form around the end of last season and into this season has coincided with the regular availability of empire biscuits in the kiosks. Long may both continue. Not tried dunking them into my coffee yet.

Nooooo, the Empire Biscuits we do are garbage. They need way more jam! Also have we changed the supplier of the macaroni pies? Had one last night and it was bogging.

How nice to complain about food rather than the game we witnessed 😄

How long does it take the BBC to put last nights programme on iplayer?

I had a nosey last night and they still have St Mirren v Valur and Killie v Brugge up, but there was no Falkirk V QP so it doesn't look like they're uploading full Championship games anymore 😞

If for whatever reason you're not going to make a game (say, to pick one at random, living 500 miles away) it's nice to think that you can watch subsequent pumpings without the camera being blocked if the guy sitting in front of it gets up for a pie.

Hate to disappoint you but I don't think anyone will know who you are. Sorry.

This has strong meet me in the car park vibes energy anyway.

No need to be sorry, I couldn't fight my way out a wet paper bag.

You shouldn't be allowed to go for a pie or to the toilet while the match is in progress IMO. That's what half-time is for.

Nearly every goal I see at the football is while one of my mates is away having a piss. I've come to think of their weak, pathetic bladders as good luck charms.

The mass Airdrie exodus after the 4th and 5th, as zombie nation blasted over the tannoy. Delicious.

To be fair the last thing to get battered that badly was found in Michael Barrymore's swimming pool.

Aye still from there. I stopped buying them as the jam was miniscule. Can't be scripping on a fundamental element of an Empire..the jam 😂

Porn Filth

Fair play to Airdrie's media team, it can't be easy having to watch your own team get ridden senseless and then have to put a highlights reel together.

Dowds's wee hop to get out of the way of the fourth. Absolute sex.
