The academy has numerous reasons to exist, but surely one is to develop players to the extent they can be sold on - benefiting the first team and the academy itself with the reinvestment of those funds. Would hate for him to go there and just fester in their B team with no pathway. However can say the same down south. I think yeah the academy is there to produce players for Ayr but also just to be a focus for local youngster's and progressing them in many ways.
