Guest DAVIDB69
German media reporting the 2 scenarios for playing the playoffs which UEFA will discuss next week. The 1st scenario would presumably mean scrapping the 'week of football' to fit 3 fixtures for each side into the international week. Three games in a week we would have lorry loads of call offs Would that mean two sets of league games would need to be off

I don't see how they can avoid doing this if they want to both play the Nations League and avoid delaying the World Cup qualifiers, unless they just keep their week of football with teams playing twice shifting fixtures back then finish the outstanding qualifiers in summer 2022 rather than March. However we still don't know what's happening to the club calendar for 21/22 & 22/23 to work around a November/December World Cup either.
forameus
The behind closed doors stuff is going to be weird for us. It obviously puts us more at a disadvantage for our semi-final (although with some of the moany bitches thatll be in Hampden, maybe our gang of shite actually plays better) but would that level the playing field a little for the potential final? Is the prospect of going to Belgrade less daunting now?
Tartan Dave
The sounds and whimpers of Grant Hanley huffing and puffing, echoing around an empty stadium in Norway as he chases Haland would potentially haunt me for life.

They're already allowing crowds in over in Serbia with Partizan playing Red Star in front of 25k last week so that won't help us there.

I think they should have cut the Nations League back to a single match v each opponent - that would have saved them 3 matchdays for a start.
Bully Wee Villa
Just bin the next Nations League and have all the World Cup qualifiers decided in the actual World Cup qualification tournament.

charger29
Fraser is apparently not going to play for Bournemouth beyond 30th June. Not exactly a great surprise but there is some impressive irony in him apologising in January for not "playing for the the team" and now he's likely offski with 9 games left.UEFA meeting just now. Should find out some more info on playoffs and NL schedule at the press conference later. WC quali format on the agenda for tomorrow too.

AndyDD
As already discussed, very real prospect of no fans, or very few fans, in Hampden for our home advantage semi, but a full house and 0 TA, or very very few TA, for our potential away final in Serbia or Norway. Terrific.
Bully Wee Villa
Just because countries allow fans in doesn't mean UEFA will. I can see no fans being allowed at any of those games.
Pie Of The Month
Israel playoff to be 8th October and final v Serbia/Norway 12th November.

Has to be all or nothing, and I suspect it'll be nothing.

If we are still hiding at home when (hopefully) the virus is still in decline then we may as well give up.
