Celtic - Still the strongest side and over 38 games the cream will rise to the top [0] 2. Rangers - Making slow progress, will see how the recruit but last summer was the first decent transfer window in the club's history so we will see if they can further improve [0] 3. Aberdeen - Was worried for them when key players left but so far the replacements look very good, I [1] 4. Hibernian - Was really impressed by their improvement under Heckingbottom and they have a very solid core of players. [3] 5. Heart of Midlothian - The addition of Halkett will improve an already solid back 4, if they can keep Souttar then a back 3 of Souttar, Halkett, and Berra will be very strong back line [7] 6. Kilmarnock - Losing Steve Clarke is a massive blow and Alessio doesn't appear to be able to get the same out of a mid-table squad, at least judging by their European shitemare. [2] 7. Motherwell, if they can keep most of their young core (that they haven't already lost) then they should be good for a solid mid table finish, good recruitment could see them challenge for a top 6 but I can't see them being better than Killie [4] 8. Ross County. They still have a solid group of players from their last season in the Premiership, I think they will be fine [2] 9. Hamilton Academical. I have learned not to predict Hamilton to go down, they continue to produce some decent players and recruit enough to stay up [2] 10. St. Johnstone. Can't score and the solid core is aging and not being adequately replaced. Don't think they will go down but it could be a long season in Perth [4] 11. Livingston. Livi's main strength last year was a solid defensive core but the loss of Halkett and Gallagher will hurt so they will fall back to earth [6] 12. St. Mirren. At the moment I think they have the worst squad in the league, they were only saved last season by Dundee's incredible ineptitude but realistically the squad I see is Championship calibre, so far the League Cup has shown this team is in trouble [3] [34] On 28/05/2019 at 19:00, The Golden God said: Celtic [0] Rangers [0] Hibs [4] Sheep [0] Motherwell [2] Killie [2] Hearts [5] St Johnstone [2] Livi [4] Hamilton [1] County [1] St Mirren [3] [24] On 28/05/2019 at 20:40, The Woolshed said: Celtic [0] Rangers [0] Hibs [4] Aberdeen [0] Kilmarnock [3] Hearts [6] Motherwell [4] St Johnstone [2] Ross County [1] Hamilton [1] St Mirren [2] Livingston [7] [30] On 28/05/2019 at 21:41, GNU_Linux said: Celtic [0] Rangers [0] Aberdeen [1] Hibs [3] Kilmarnock [3] Hearts [6] Motherwell [4] St. Johnstone [2] Ross County [1] Livingston [5] Hamilton [0] St. Mirren [3] [28] On 29/05/2019 at 00:39, Im_Rodger said: Going for a bold prediction (will probably cost me the title I currently hold (with 3 others)) Will probably edit this a few times before the season kicks off:- 1. Hamilton Academical [0] 12. Livingston [7] [26] 1-2 - I've got a sneaky suspicion Rangers could be a lot closer next season, and possibly even edge it. Will await transfers before deciding. 3-6 - finger in the air job for these positions at this stage, but I can't see anyone from this year's bottom six troubling them. I think Killie will suffer from the loss of Clarke but will still be comfortably in the mix for the boring half of the split. I also might swap Hearts and Aberdeen, but will depend on transfers. Hibs a stick-on for 5th, IMO. 7-8 - can't see past these two for those positions. 9 - We finally became something other than a complete pushover in the final quarter of the season (partly owing to the split, admittedly, but we did do well against Hearts and Dons prior to that, too). I think we'll be pretty stodgy next season (dat Gus McPherson influence), and I have a feeling it won't be pretty, but at least we'll not just be handing three points to anyone who wants them. It's a sound approach and will give us a platform to build on. 10-12 County will spend, and will need to, and it will be enough to make them safe. It's Accies' turn to beat United in the playoff next season. Sorry Livi, but I think this is the end of one of the more remarkable stories in Scottish football of the last few seasons. Livingston [7] [26] Celtic should still shade it even with the Ginger Rhebel in charge. A lot will depend on their recruitment whether or not it's a cakewalk or the bluenoses get another false dawn. Rangers seem to have a better core of players do again a lot will depend on who they can get on board. Aberdeen - meh Not sure what the natural order will be bit Hibs/ Hearts Hearts/Hibs next. Next St Johnstone/ Kilmarnock/Motherwell If the Johnnies can find some consistency they should move back into the top 6. KFC are an unknown for me without SSC. They still have a decent squad at the moment and it would take a shanner of an appointment to derail the good work done in the last 2 seasons but that can't be ruled out. Motherwell have signed Jake Carroll, they're recruitment must be better to finish above the two previously mentioned teams, imo. At the arse end we find Livi, Hamilton, St Mirren and the County of Ross. Ross County won the Championship fairly easily but I still have questions around their management duo and an ageing/ uninspiring squad. As things stand they should be consistent. With a couple of decent signings they could push the 7th place ceiling. Next Hamilton, "there's no killing what can't be killed". Livi will lose a lot of players that got them where they are today. Their pound shop recruitment policy will struggle to replace the quality heading elsewhere. St Mirren will probably float about the bottom again. Brought in some decent players but still lack overall quality for me and doubts around whither or not Kearney will go back to school. They certainly won't escape the bottom four as that's the St Mirren way. TL;DR Don't quote me boys, I ain't said shit! On 01/08/2019 at 17:05, Ya Bezzer! said: 1) Celtic - Look increasingly jaded but you can't buy experience so should see off a stronger Rangers challenge. [0] 2) Rangers - Rangers lost their fear of Celtic last season and look like they might actually challenge this season but with that comes additional pressures that they haven't really had to deal with up till now. Can they deal with those? I suspect not. [0] 3) Aberdeen - Will have to improve at home but in a league with remarkably little quality outside the top two they should manage a third place. [1] 4) Hibernian - Not convinced on Heckingbottom but outside the top three its hard to see who will finish above them. [3] 5) Hearts - Everything that's wrong with Scottish football and yet will probably finish in a relatively cosy position. Says it all really about the quality of the league. [7] 6) Motherwell - Have lots of forward options, in contrast to Kilmarnock. And when they have Turnbull back and running they have one of the very best players in the league. [3] 7) Kilmarnock - Have struggled for goals since Stewart left last season and you don't win games without scoring. Should be strong enough in other areas though to be comfortable. [1] 8( Ross County - Saw them a couple of times last season and they looked like a solid Premiership side. Nothing flashy about them but unlike a few teams around them I don't think scoring will be a problem for them. And no one wants to travel up to Dingwall. [2] 9) St. Johnstone - Were poor last season and yet still finished 7th (see Hearts about quality of the league). Despite claims of a re-invention there last term they are still looking to all the same old faces (Wotherspoon, Davidson, Craig, O'Halloran, Kane, Foster etc.) Look stale, their own manager says the fringe players aren't good enough, few new signings and you are struggling to see many goals out this team. Baring some good quality signings can only see them dropping down from last terms position. [3] 10) Livingston - Seemed to do OK in the League Cup stages although it was a fairly weak group. Lost key players but there are still enough decent guys there to keep them up. Players like Jacobs, Pittman and Sibbald and are step up from what Accies and St. Mirren have. [5] 11) Hamilton - Leaked goals against the likes of Partick, Clyde and Airdrie. That will be their Achilles heel. Elsewhere it will be interesting to see what guys like Cunningham, Lewis Smith, Mimnaugh will do as they come into the first team and Alston is a good signing for a team like Accies. Might surprise a few on their day but don't see them achieving consistency. [0] 12) St. Mirren - Goodwin is stepping up a level and about to find out that keeping Alloa in the Championship was easier than keeping St. Mirren in the Premiership. Squad is thin, there aren't many goals there and they need a raft of signings if they are going to avoid the relegation places. [3] [28] On 01/08/2019 at 17:08, EpicMike said: 1. Celtic [0] 2. [0] Rangers - A strong squad in depth and quality. But I feel they are not quite strong enough to stop 9IAR [0] Aberdeen - They've signed well and have been in good form so far. [1] Hearts - I think our squad is well above the bottom 7 or so clubs in quality of player and depth (Souttar, Berra, Halkett, Smith, Walker, Naismith etc). One or two more experienced midfielders could see us challenge for 3rd. The main negative is Levein, who has a lot to prove in most fans eyes. [8] Hibs - Signing players from League 1 or 2 down south can be hit and miss, again though their squad is quite a bit ahead of the bottom 7 clubs [2] Motherwell - Have a good chance to finish in the top half. [3] Ross County - It's a tough away trip for most clubs and I think their momentum from last season will keep them safe. [3] Kilmarnock - Steve Clarke was working miracles with a very limited squad, could go even lower. [0] Livingston - Have signed well and look to have been doing well in pre-season. [4] St Johnstone - won't trouble either the top 6 or the relegation places muchos mehness [4] Hamilton - As usual they will bite, scratch, poke, gouge, punch their way to safety. But may have to beat one of the Dundee clubs in the playoffs. [0] St Mirren - An awful squad of which they haven't made enough additions yet. [3] [28] On 02/08/2019 at 16:28, Richie95 said: 1. Coventry Saint
This isn't fucking fair. How can you possibly decide this with only 80% of the season played? I made my predictions based on 38 games. WHERE'S THE INTEGRITY?! Edited May 9, 2020 by Coventry Saint

Comrie
I'm pretty happy with 26 points. Have no idea why I thought Livi would finish 12th, that screwed me.
