Swap Adam King for Declan Glass up at Cove Rangers; send Cammy Smith out on loan somewhere (especially if we do get Sow back from Kilmarnock); sell Scott Banks to any English Premiership/Championship team that offers to pay a fee for him; bring Sam Wardrop back into the team; teach Sporle how to play full-back; and, last but not least, we really need to strengthen Pawlett's legs...

I repeat. Very generous. King came on for the last few minutes v Alloa. At one point he picked the ball up in midfield and had acres of space in front of him. When he should have been looking to drive on in the box with real purpose, instead he was hesitant and couldn't wait to get rid of the ball. Looks to me like has zero confidence just now, and I wonder if introducing him for the last few minutes of some games is Neilson's means of trying to build up some confidence. There must, or at least once was, be a decent player in there fro Swansea to have paid a fee for him and to have been capped at u18, u19 and u21 levels. A loan move for the second half of the season might serve him well.

You’d prefer Sow in the squad to Cammy Smith? Seriously?
PartyFears2
If we were to bring in, say, Sam Nicholson. And Stephen McGinn as back up for Butcher. With Sow, Banks & Brown away, would that do us?
Alert Mongoose
We could at least enquire if Olic would be interested in a loan deal.

It was more because nobody will want to take Sow off our hands if he comes back from Kilmarnock - nobody who has watched him play in the past year is going to want to pay even a small percentage of his wages. If we are stuck with him then I would rather that he was warming the bench/not even making squads as our 4th choice striker (behind Shankland, Clark and Appere) than Cammy Smith - Smith could really do with a loan somewhere to get his confidence up as he has hardly played in the past year. A big few months coming up for all of our players who are out of contract at the end of the season (according to https://www.transfermarkt.com/dundee-united-fc/vertragsende/verein/1519): Nicky Clark, Cammy Smith, Matty Smith, Paul Watson, Sam Stanton, Troy Brown, Sam Wardrop, Chris Mochrie and Osman Sow.
Derry Alli
You'd be better off releasing every one of them tbf.

ArabianKnight
I'm fairly sure Chris Mochrie signed a contract extension?

A half and a half makes a whole, yet Nicky Clark, Paul Watson and Sam Stanton are regular starters and all made starts against Dundee this season. In the 6-2 and 2-0 games. You type some pish.

McGarci
Wardrop could be loaned to dumbarton if tumilty come back con greenock..... maybe you need another winger, but mainly you are going to sign players who can make a job in premiership next year, or not?

You've come out belittling my statement yet don't actually have any figures to back it up? We've all seen (numerous times) that you're a big bit thick but by Christ, even this takes the biscuit. Out of interest, which players on that list would you be looking to retain in the Premiership?
Mark Connolly
I'm reasonably certain we will have a few targets.

Yes, absolutely. It's a shame you won't be around to see it. Nor 33 year old Kane Hemmings, most likely.
Zoomer Brown
Clark is about to sign for another year, Watson + Stanton are doing well at the moment-Meh. Brown was an emergency signing and well down the order now, think his deal's up in jan. The Smiths and Sow have done hee haw (except Cammy scored number 6). Mochrie is a highly rated kid who may have already signed. Wardrop has been out with an ACL for a year.he'd need to make some comeback to get a new deal.
