Bonnyton Thistle 5-2 Lothian Thistle HV
Broxburn Athletic 3-1 Edinburgh University
Burntisland Shipyard 1-2 Threave Rovers
Caledonian Braves 4-0 Crossgates Primrose

Creetown 1-5 Craigroyston
Dunbar United 1-0 Abbey Vale (aet)
Edinburgh United 1-2 Dunipace
Gala Fairydean Rovers 2-1 Newton Stewart
Glasgow University 0-5 Bonnyrigg Rose Athletic
Glenrothes 3-0 Lochmaben
Haddington Athletic 0-5 Camelon
Hawick Royal Albert United 1-2 Easthouses Lily
Hill of Beath Hawthorn 2-1 Whitehill Welfare
Kinnoull 0-3 Spartans

Leith Athletic 1-5 East Kilbride
Linlithgow Rose 5-1 Gretna 2008
Lochar Thistle 0-5 East Stirlingshire
Musselburgh Athletic 5-0 Mid Annandale
Peebles Rovers 2-3 Nithsdale Wanderers
Penicuik Athletic 5-2 Dundonald Bluebell
Preston Athletic 3-2 Inverkeithing Hillfield Swifts
Sauchie 1-2 Civil Service Strollers
St Andrews United 2-3 Jeanfield Swifts
Tranent 2-1 Berwick Rangers
Tweedmouth Rangers 1-2 Upper Annandale
Vale of Leithen 1-6 Kelty Hearts
Wigtown & Bladnoch 0-2 Heriot Watt University

There was some SOSL cheer as 4 sides progressed: Threave, Nithsdale and Upper Annandale all by the odd goal away to Burntisland, Peebles and Tweedmouth respectively; plus result of the day perhaps Bonnyton's demolition of LTHV. Heston host Ormiston tomorrow.

I do not think there was a single 'shock' result? Blackburn annihilated St Cuthbert - and despite recent woes Craigroyston humped Creetown.

R3 draw (tomorrow):

Lowland (11)
Bonnyrigg, BSCG, Civil Service, Caledonian Braves, Cumbernauld, East Kilbride, East Stirlingshire, Gala, Kelty, Spartans, Stirling Uni

EOSL (16)
Premier (10) - Blackburn, Broxburn, Camelon, Dunbar, Hill of Beath, Jeanfield, Linlithgow, Musselburgh, Penicuik, Tranent
First (6) - Craigroyston, Dunipace, Easthouses, Glenrothes, Heriot-Watt Uni, Preston

SOSL (4)
Bonnyton, Nithsdale, Threave, Upper Annandale

tbc (1)
Heston (SOSL) or Ormiston (EOSL First)

 I've listed Edusport in R3 draw list too. FFS.

Seems like a collective heads-gone over today's result on Berwick social media but I always thought Tranent were favourites (bookies agreed IIRC), and I feared it could be far worse than 2-1 before the game began. They top EOSL and hammered Gala in R1 whom we drew with last Saturday.

Licensing is the main problem given it now needs to get sorted by the end of February and some of the more likely contenders such as Tranent and Bo'ness are not licensed yet. Hopefully this will be the last season where that will be an issue and cup performances like yesterday will persuade the LL to do the decent thing where a second relegation spot is concerned.

Do you really think LL clubs would vote for that?

The SPFL should be opening up more and either removing the playoff for Club 42 or, ideally, going 2 down from League Two. That should be happening regardless of anything else.

However, it's a much easier sell for the LL to make to the SPFL if relegated clubs are playing against Linlithgow Rose, Penicuik or Broxburn rather than Vale of Leithen, Edinburgh Uni or Dalbeattie.

I see Heston Rovers are currently 2-0 up. Could have 5 South teams in the mix.

Bit of redemption after last year's annus horribilis.

Threave also got through a Scottish Cup round by winning at Hawick.

Next stage would be if any can beat EOS Premier or LL opponents.
