Granny Danger
There were two consecutive reports on the radio earlier. The first said based on reports to him Johnson was against an early lifting of the lockdown restrictions. The second said Johnson wasn’t doing any work. Seem a bit contradictory.

Not at all - he doesn't want to ease lockdown restrictions as that means he'll have to work...
Mr Heliums
Fascinating to pick up a non-British newspaper (the conservative NYT) and get a picture you won't get here: in-depth articles explaining how the UK has wasted £20 million on tests that didn't work, or last Friday's headline: "People are dying and all Britain can talk about is Boris".

We could have built nearly half an empty hospital for that money.
Thane of Cawdor
Tomorrow is the anniversary of the birth of Shakespeare, St George's Day and the start of Ramadan. Good time for Johnson to emerge from isolation, seclusion, purdah, hiding to: declaim some inspirational words from the Bard, celebrate the unique character and spirit of the English people and say something gratuitously offensive about Muslims.

I wouldn't class the New York Times as conservative .....

Billy Jean King
Surely the moment will be seized on the additional public holiday for VE day. Must be well odds on. Must be worrying for Trump that his support is actually falling.

O'Kelly Isley III
Where is our PM at this time of crisis????Seemingly on the phone to the POTUS earlier this week according to Domestos Donnie - and I'd like to know why, especially if he wasn't contacting any other major leaders.
Paco
Johnson hasn’t done any work for at least 19 days at this point, likely more, and hasn’t done anything public facing aside from recorded social media clips for a full month. I’m not necessarily knocking the guy, he’s been very ill in that period, but shit hadn’t truly hit the fan when he was diagnosed and people have obviously disassociated him with the mess. Maybe they’re clinging on to some notion he’ll come back in on his horse and sort all the mess out - a notion I’m quite sure will be being planned in Downing St right now. Either that or the British public are thick as f**k.
