Especially after the early scare.It was always going to take something special to beat the Czech wall and that free kick was pretty special . Going by our penalty shout it was a foul by Defoe leading to the free kick but thems the breaks.Junior should have smashed that chance in at the end. christinanade Posted August 25, 2019 Share Posted August 25, 2019 Really didn't see anything to be positive about from a St. Mirren perspective. Game was absolutely honking. Barely two passes strung together from either team and our sole tactic in possession was pass back to the cbs for a big punt to obika for a flick on to noone. Probably as bad and toothless a showing as I've seen from us against the old firm in years. Never really understood the thinking with ultra defensive at home. It very rarely works against the old firm teams so why not have a go. Would rather see my team get pumped 4-1 by having a go than sat in their own half all game not even making an attempt to attack.
