Queens versus Queens............................

Really looking forward to this. After Saturday's shitfest this should be a much better game of football, or at least two teams who want to play football. Both teams having similar stuttering seasons so if we can just ignore the fact of two leagues between us it should be a tight game.

4-3 to the QP.

P.S. Any chance of QoS players playing for a draw just to get one last look at the big Hampden?

The excitement for this game is up to fever pitch.

Our supporters' bus is nearly full so that's no bad.

So..... the all important question.......what pubs do you recommend? It's been 18 years since we last visited. Heard a rumour there is a social club at the ground.

There’s a bar under the main stand (opposite side to the one you’ll be situated in), and a cafe in the Arena which is adjacent to the ground.

There are 4 supporter friendly pubs in Market Square which is 5 minutes walk from the ground. Caven’s Arms is just across the river from there. Best pub grub in the town and a regular award winner for their real ales.

There are a whole bunch more on The Whitesands and town centre but I’d go with one of the above.

The Kung Fu was good on Saturday but it’s back to fitba’ this weekend.

Decent wee away trip for the black and white army. We competed very well in the League Cup with a notable win over Hamilton. Hopefully another competitive tie with a goal or 2 for the spiders.

QP 2-1 win. [emoji835]️[emoji836]️

Cheers for the info, great stuff

Caven's Arms sounds like the ideal pub for QP fans ( he was pretty handy with his elbows )

No problem.

All I’d say about Cavens is that it is more an eating place than a pub. The bar area isn’t huge so if you’re a rowdy group of ultras looking to have a singsong and set off your pyro it probably isn’t for you!

If you are happy standing drinking pints or sitting eating and drinking then fill your boots.

More gyro than pyro.

Despite knicker wetting shouts of "rubbish" from the main stand, it's been a predictable game. They have 5 in midfield against our 3 as you often see from wee teams in cups. So we can't play through and are having to wait for through balls or Dobbie magic. Which has created a good 6 or 7 openings so far but the final touch or shot hasn't been good enough. They scored from a good delivery off a fk needlessly conceded by Brownlie. It happens. Long time to go
