I do use a credit card for day to day spending though, as it accumulates points. I then pay it off at the end of the month. Sometimes I’ll use a debit card for certain things. Carrying cash is a hassle, as well as being extremely unhygienic tbh. Let me know how you get on the next time you try to shove a credit card into a shopping trolley to release the chain.

Tbf, right now, I'm keeping to the card. Still wary about who, and what, I'm interacting with. I’m not overly concerned about touching cash being a dirty, manky business. During lockdown, filling the car with petrol involves pay-at-the-pump, pressing the same manky wee buttons on the pump as the last chap. Paying in the supermarket has involved pressing the same wee buttons on the card machine as the last chap. Have never seen the chip and pin machines in our local shop being wiped, but I’m sure they do. What they definitely don’t do, is to have given any thought that after you’ve been for a pish and washed your hands in their toilets, you are faced with two sets of doors, with a handle that pulls in towards you. At the best of times, I’ve seen manky basturts zip up and grab these without even washing their hands. Does my tits in - because if Tesco are going to be all over their 2m rules, tapes on floor, one-in, one-out, and plastic screens between you and the checkout operator - give at least a seconds thought to everyone touching the same toilet door. But no, nothing at all. Sometimes you wonder. The place in their store with the most chance of germs going around at the best of times. Anyway... on cruise ships, at every toilet door, is a dispenser with small squares of tissue. On the other side of the door is a bin. Grab a small square, open door, deposit in bin. Off you go - boosh, job’s a good un’. Would this be difficult for supermarkets to do? Edited May 27, 2020 by pozbaird
super_carson
Just surprised that if you saw the RoI had no deaths on the 25th you missed us having no deaths yesterday. My missus is from Dublin, so we sometimes watch the Irish news and that's where I had seen it. I don't think the 0 deaths in Northern Ireland has been widely reported though certainly not in what I've watched or read but admittedly it could have gotten lost amongst the Cummings saga.
Tight minge
In Singapore I think most of the building workers are on temporary visas and put up in dormitory blocks like in the Middle East, so it's not surprising and may not be work related. Correct, its not the building sites but the dormitories that house the overseas workers. Some of these places are huge. The S11 dormitory has just short of 20,000 foreign workers living there. 90% of Singapores cases have been in these dormitories and the government have been taking a lot of measures to resolve this. If it weren’t for that we would be cruising through this.Social distancing and the ‘circuit breaker’ (our lockdown) is still in place until the 1st of June. If you are out in public, you must wear a mask and to enter a mall or supermarket (most everything else remains closed), you must either show your ID card or check in using the government app.Schools start back gradually from the 2nd and loosing restrictions on workplaces.

They should remove all the doors in the lavies to stop the threat of infection then you can sit on your throne and watch your missus go up and down the aisles.

The OP
I don’t use the toilets in supermarkets because I’m not a child, I don’t have 8 pints before going and it really doesn’t take that long to get shopping. YMMV though.
