Ratio of cases to hospitalisations looks a lot better now, as do deaths and vaccinations are going reasonably well. We're as well wading through it as turning back now. I don’t think there are gonna be any changes either, but if not it makes a mockery of the whole thing that some areas will be in completely the wrong levels with businesses previously placed in level 1 allowed to continue to operate while those placed in level 2 with better levels forced to stay shut. The levels system is completely broken and not fit for purpose. Edited June 22, 2021 by Abdul_Latif

As soon as they treaded back into sub national groupings it was always going to boomerang as it did back in the autumn.

Nah I don't think we'll go up a level, but I can see us being kept at current levels until xx percentage of the population are double dosed. Maybe 80% or something like that? It could just be my lockdown fear kicking in again. But I don't have a good feeling about this.
Pie Of The Month
Last time we were seeing 2k + cases was back when we were averaging 50 deaths a day and 180+ hospital admissions. Now averaging under 2 deaths a day and around 23 admissions. Best give it another few weeks just in case.

Her school has three classes off, I have two. I work in an ASN school and team teach on a Monday and Tuesday. Before leaving for work today, I was texted saying that my team teaching colleague tested positive using a lateral flow test this morning. As they tested positive this morning, they were over the 48 hour mark for the whole class isolating. As I hadn’t seen her since last Tuesday, I was fine anyway but it’s a bit of a farce. Selfishly, I’m sitting praying that I make it through to Thursday without being told to isolate. TLDR; I want Thursday to come without incident so I can go to a caravan. The boys school is now up to 6 classes out and quite a few teachers - given the figures seen today i'm not surprised

But again we just don't know.

In fairness it was one of the most leading of leading questions that she could have been asked, no mention of any concerns for the rugger at the weekend though. Hmmm.

New presiding officer is not as good at keeping them in line timewise when they're prattling on about other business. Still on topical questions so she can't do the update until they're done.
