Coronavirus (COVID-19)

What it needs, if it's not already happening, is a triage system at the door where time wasters can be told to f**k off before they even get to main reception.

This is a crisis because of covid. We need staff back at work. All of them. Unless they are actually ill.

It's the time wasters that ruin it for everyone. When my dad was ill in Jan 2020 this fcking triage system was in place and he couldnt even see a doctor face to face. My mum was pleading over the phone for a doctor to come up to see how ill he was, my dad was upset thinking his docs thought he was a time waster not worthy of seeing. Having to witness all that and the distress my dad was in in his last few weeks put me off the NHS sycopnhancy for life.

"He warned that if infections continue to rise in the next three weeks, more restrictions could return to save Christmas this year."
Why do they lie [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]

It was mentioned on here the other day (possibly by@Bairnardo) but its unlikely that most people will be checking and keeping an eye on case numbers. All that politicians need to do is come out and say "cases are rising" and people will take that at face value and go into panic mode.

The media should be calling politicians out on this.  I won't hold my breath though.

The media just want to stand and ask politicians when restrictions will be brought back. That's it.

Government held to account ✅

Tomorrow's headlines sorted ✅

And when restrictions are brought back, the approach changes to a weird combination of "when will these be tightened?" and "when can I hug my gran again?"

The amount of government nonsense that's gone unchallenged whilst they have engaged in the above is unreal. I cannot stress this enough: they are largely fucking useless and seem to exist in this pandemic to make our lives miserable for some easy headlines. Some decent digging into dodgy covid contracts and wastage excepted, though unsurprisingly few folk really gave a f**k about this when we were all locked down and couldn't do anything. That'll instead be left to Cadwalladr to find a way of linking it Russia/Brexit or the kimono-donning fox clubber.

She's saving the churches and pubs for next week. Can't blow it all on a single news cycle, got to keep drip feeding it to keep herself in the papers.

She won’t mention churches. It would piss Jason off.

I read an article about communication in science and the pandemic that was essentially a profile of Devi and it featured several outright falsehoods as well as not touching any of the incorrect assertions she has made during the pandemic.
